Live At Robert Johnson presents a second Lifesaver compilation. The label is calling the eight-track collection, which arrives two years on from the first instalment, “another episode of togetherness.” It presents music from the LARJ roster, with Roman Flügel, Portable, Orson Wells, Massimiliano Pagliara, Lauer, TCB and Benedikt Frey all chipping in with a track each.

Norwegian exile Telephones lends a hand on the deliciously Balearic “Long Distance Call”, with one-time NYC resident Lee Douglas recalling his TBD work with Justin Vandervolgen on the murky acid assault that is “Fall Again”. Apersonal Music introduces a very special collaboration between Massimiliano Pagliara and Jules Etienne that goes by the name of Egyptian Nipples. The songs on “Back but Half EP” were originally composed and produced by Jules Etienne. Massi then proposed Jules to re-work them and add his additional production. Not too shabby either: San Laurentino in his state of overjoy, Portable and Lcio bring their flutes of mellow madness, while the Tuff City Kids close of with “People Is A Crackhead” and some blue-eyed steppers business. While name checking the tools of his work, MP unfolds untold stories of love, high spirits and deep meditation that every romantic rave craves for – acid poetry included.
Top-quality remix action right here: from acid romantics to reggae house, by Nicholas remaining in his realm of deep and heavy house music, Rotciv and DJ Sotofett at the controls on ‘Harmonize’ which gets the jungle boogie treatment, 808 State dubbing, a house shuffle and proper synth breakdowns. Almost 12 minutes of soundbwoy contemplation including a proper dancehall shout out towards the end.
Cosmin Club presents ‘The Jackin Theory’, fat jacking retro chicago tracks by The Rimshooters, a collaboration between Rotciv & Massimiliano Pagliara. Big bassline driven tracks powered by rolling drum machines and bombastic strings and a acid line here and there.
Massimiliano Pagliara’s debut album “Focus For Infinity” gets some action. Phillip Lauer (Arto Mwambe) and Gerd Janson (Running Back) team up as Tuff City Kids, offering two takes on “A Wrong Chance”. Sweet layer cake of bass, synths, strings and for those who are faint at heart, an additional riddim version provides hidden acid fantasies. On the other side, Oliver Hafenbauer and Christian Beisswenger (Arto Mwambe) keep on exploring their sharp electro funk under their B.H.V.F moniker.

Debut album from Massimiliano Pagliara. Massimiliano has got the chug on lock, keeping the tempo around a sensually sub-110 bpm over 13 tracky grooves intended for the connoisseurs and the steamiest points of the night. Fairly simple stuff, but very effective.

[sic!] is a modern disco band with members Jules Etienne, Alessandro Tartari and producer and DJ Massimiliano Pagliara. They all share a passion for warm synth sounds, poignant melodies and groovy structures.
