Coughy – Coughy [LCL012] FREE DOWNLOAD

The concept of Coughy was to be an exact opposite of clinging to one particular sound or a tedious rehearsal of prior established songs. Improvisation, spontaneity, obscure cultural influences and a complete and reciprocal trust were to be the principles of this project, and a strong live visual input provided by the visual artist Color Nurse (Irina Stanciulescu). The result, often unpredictable even to the protagonists, associates freely drones and rhythms, noise and harmony, digital and analog, atmospheric and psychedelic, pop and experiment.
Jay Bliss – Pluto [VIS226]

Romanian Jay Bliss makes his debut on 20:20 Vision Recordings with ‘Pluto’, in his style sitting somewhere between house and techno, with strong Detroit roots. ‘Pluto’ it’s a smooth and crisp tech house roller that recalls classic 2020 releases gone. On the flip, Skudge gives their own take on ‘Pluto’, a different beast to the original, all stuttering percussion and menacing strings, a perfect counterbalance to the original version.
Jay Bliss – Pandorum EP [AIBLACK0086]

All Inn represents the Romanian Jay Bliss in the 8th round of Black series. “Kokkoo For Coco Puffs” gives a repetitive hypnosis to the dancefloors in more than 13 minutes. After the long tracker trip on the flipside “War of the Worlds” comes front of us with dry and housey rhythms filled with funk, and “Mission Control” closes the line with its perfect toolistic sound for main-time djsets.
Cosmin TRG – Vertigo / Sommer [50WEAPONS019]

The Romanian Cosmin TRG returns with this sweet maxi and a slightly new direction. The lush sounds of ‘Vertigo’ sees a tentative swelling melody saunter over brooding beats and claps, whilst ‘Sommer’ tinkers with reduced metallic techno textures.
Inner – Equalia EP [NEOSTRICTLY002]

Strictly Chosen presents the second release on it’s sublablel Neo Strictly. This time is the young Romanian Inner with three groovin’ minimal dubby techhouse tracks.
Jay Bliss – The Art of Doing Nothing [INITIALS02]

Initials imprint delivers its second release this spring, Jay Blissʼ ʻThe Art of Doing Nothingʼ backed with a remix from Petre Inspirescu. In both original tracks Jay Bliss relies on little else than careful manipulation of structure and sound to create captivating fare. Lead track ʻDoing Nothingʼ revolves around a lumpy, satisfying groove and a three note hit while Jay Bliss teases out every detail to just before breaking point while ʻXʼ takes a deeper, more immersive route. Petre Inspirescu delivers a typically dense, rhythmic interpretation of ʻXʼ which clocks in at just over 14 minutes and rallies around padding kicks, sonic oddities and a ever-evolving percussion. Incredibly bass heavy, itʼs a version that gives an intense, sub-aquatic view of the original.

Cosmin TRG – Simulat [50WEAPONSCD003]

Romanian producer Cosmin TRG release his debut artist album, Simulat, on Fifty Weapons. Made up of 12 new tracks, each has been exclusively produced for the album whilst CD-only track ‘Fizic’ is the lead single, as it was already released in June. There are tracks which will work both on and off the dancefloor, but it’s the way they’re threaded together and make for one cohesive and coherent statement overall that stands them apart. Taking appropriate detours into deeper pockets; areas of warm analogue ambiance and abstract alien sounds, there are traces of everything that has gotten Cosmin to this point so far, all re-visioned with an ever shifting focus. Once again confirming Cosmin to be a producer in constant experimental flux, Simulat speaks loudly of an essential talent.

Cosmin TRG – Fizic [50WEAPONS013]

Romanian producer Cosmin TRG’s next release is a follow up to the superb “Separat/Izolat” 12″ on 50 Weapons imprint. “Fizic/De Dans” seems to explore a similar sonic terrain, namely off-kilter techno imbued with droning low frequencies.
