Stephen Brown – Illuminance EP [ARTLESS2191]
Stephen Brown is an institution when it comes to cutting-edge Detroit Techno made in Europe. He has always been on top of the game since almost two decades and knows how to convince with his trademark hi-tech soul. His new release called Illuminace EP marks the return of Mojuba sublabel a.r.t.less and brings two killer tunes from the vaults of the Realtime label boss, while the a-side with SD1 aims clearly at the dancefloors of our beloved underground clubs, the b-side with Free & Easy comes along with a great portion of compelling emotions and funk.
Shlomo – The Harvest EP [TPN001]
For this first vinyl only EP, Shlomo, one of the label’s owner arrives with two original tracks with a deep atmosphere crossing classic techno drums. The other side presents two remix, on from the Edinburgh’s techno master Stephen Brown with a fine old school reshaping. Next comes The Conforce’s remodel which will talk to all ambient and minimalistic techno, 100% as we love his sound. Beautiful contracts between the liquid beauty and massive force of techno.
Binny – No Surrender EP [ASGOR010]
Adam Cummings aka Binny with a new release on Orbis Records. UK-based and clearly influenced by the Detroit sound, he manages to translate the combination of hardware & his skills for arrangement into something special. This EP contains two must have tracks for the floor on the A-side full of 909 drums, 727 stabs, cowbells, hats & the riffs from the Alpha Juno. The B-side gets another character, his deeper inner side where he pulls of to touch emotions in a Parallel World along side Stephen Browns take on “No Surrender”.
Stephen Brown / Jonas Kopp – Lost Archives – Part III [AERA007.3]
Part three of the Lost Archives Series including 2 heavy tracks for the floor. On the A-side, Stephen Brown contributes with ‘The Flow’ in which he perfectly shows his own distinctive trademark sound. Moving synths on top of a rolling tribalesque beat. On the B-side we find Jonas Kopp with ‘Telergía’. It’s one of his most melodic pieces to date, which therefore makes a perfect match with Indigo. Up to date techno with old school Detroit influences.

Theory Recordings is back with a vs EP featuring label boss Ben Sims remixing two original cuts from Scottish techno legend Stephen Brown. His unique brand of intelligent and soulful goodness has graced many labels over the years. He is backed with 2 firing remixes from Ben Sims that have been doing plenty of damage all over.
Stephen Brown – Mini Mood / Horizontal [SKUDGE-PT001]
Skudge announces their new series Skudge Present, featuring their favorite artists. First out is Stephen Brown with two beautiful tracks. ‘Mini Mood’ is a one-of-a-kind type of track, where both inspiration from the past and the developments of the present gets equal space, resulting in something close to perfection. ‘Horizontal’ goes into a immense state, where melody is key, giving way for a floating yet pulsating groove. If the washed out term organic should have a place today, it would be here.
Stephen Brown – Extensive Perception EP [HEM005]
Two Detroit tracks by Stephen Brown on his first appearance on Heliocentric Music. The record starts with “HMI”, a very deep dancefloor-experience with lots of spheric sounds, which make the track perfect for the crowd as well as for home-listerners. “My Harmony” is of such a beauty, that one simply has to listen. Ambient-soundscapes and electro-drummings are the key here and take the listener on a truly fantastic journey.
