ÆX is back with the 12th installment for its various artist compilation series. ÆX012 presents 2 new names to the ÆX roster: Troy and Albert van Abbe. They are responsible for 2 high-energy techno rollers which set the tone for this bold new ÆX chapter. They are accompanied by households Taupe – showing his skills with a Drexciyan electro-techno workout. On the B-side, we find a typical melodic 909 jam by Jasper Wolff while Tetelepta and Kaap finish things off in dub-depth craft and mastery. Strong 6 track dub & Detroit influenced techno compilation.

Sterac – Aeras [AERA025]
Indigo Aera presents a new release by none other than Sterac. This two tracker consists of two timeless Detroit rooted techno masterclasses which are a perfect fit for the Indigo philosophy: classic melodic techno music aimed at dancefloors.
VA – Lost Archives Special I/V [AERA016]
Amsterdam label Indigo Aera, the brainchild of Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff, celebrates five years with Lost Archives Special compilation. The five-vinyl box set features 18 tracks from the likes of Skudge, Makam, Don Williams, San Proper & Antal, Ø [Phase], Deniro, Louis Haiman, Antigone, Sterac, Stephen Brown, Joris Voorn and label heads Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff.
Louis Haiman – The Cosmic Memory EP [AERA017]
Louis Haiman returns to Indigo Aera with The Cosmic Memory EP, which features two originals as well as a remix by Berghain heavyweight Marcel Dettmann. His first single here is ‘How Free Am I’, and is eight delicate minutes of floating ambience and subtle, stripped back rhythm. It’s all in the bassline at first, after pixel thin synths float in like fireflies before static crackle and soft percussions flesh out the heavenly sound world. Soothing and absorbing throughout, it becomes a forceful and high pressure bit of techno in the hands of Marcel Detmann who layers in solid kicks and clacking hits to drive things along. ‘Hidden Knowledge’ is then a slithering bit of atmospheric electro with rumbling synths and pads suspending you in deep space. It rounds out a captivating EP.
Takasi Nakajima – Basic Math EP [AERA015]
Indigo Aera presents the first solo release from Takasi Nakajima known from the duo Different World which he formed together with Claude Young.
Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff – Cosmic Language EP [AERA010]
The new instalment on Indigo æra features three originals by Indigo’s founders Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff. This release, a little bit more tough styled compared to their previous releases, still perfectly maintains the detroit-esque melodic elements. Cosmic Language EP is about the visualization of soundwaves into geometric forms….
Kirk Degiorgio – Unreleased 1991-1992 [AERA009]
Indigo Aera is very honored to release these precious gems from Kirk Degiorgio’s personal archive. Kirk found the tracks by accident going through his DAT tapes from 1991-1992. Time captured in music which deserves to be on black gold.
Stephen Brown / Jonas Kopp – Lost Archives – Part III [AERA007.3]
Part three of the Lost Archives Series including 2 heavy tracks for the floor. On the A-side, Stephen Brown contributes with ‘The Flow’ in which he perfectly shows his own distinctive trademark sound. Moving synths on top of a rolling tribalesque beat. On the B-side we find Jonas Kopp with ‘Telergía’. It’s one of his most melodic pieces to date, which therefore makes a perfect match with Indigo. Up to date techno with old school Detroit influences.
Makam / Roch Dadier – Lost Archives – Part II [AERA007.2]
The second EP in their new “Lost Archives” series stands out in it’s clear dancefloor direction and it’s recognizable oldschool feel. On the A side Makam brings in a typical oldschool techno track which resemblances a mixture between old Jeff Mills material and Robert hood’s Floorplan output. The title of the B track simply points out it’s purpose. Roch and Pacou were resident DJ’s at Tresor, when they recorded this track for Roch Dadier’s Label Portrait in 2002. However, short afterwards it was recorded, Roch stopped his label, so this gem never saw the light of day. Pacou and Roch Dadier show us that tribalistic techno is still actual these days with this rhythmic piece of music.
Skudge / Different World – Lost Archives I [AERA007.1]
First of a four-part series focusing on unreleased material from those close to the Indigo Aera label. Skudge with a special re-version of the intro they use often in their live setup. From the start this track keeps on building. Real tension for the dancefloor. On the B-side, Claude Young & Takasi Nakajima under their Different World alias with a real emotive hi tech soul techno track.

Louis Haiman – Soul Purpose [AERA006]

Indigo Aera’s 6th release by Louis Haiman called ‘Soul Purpose’ is a real journey trough time. Having released two of this tracks on early Transmat compilation CD’s, the other six unreleased tracks are carefully mined from Louis’ archive of 15 to 20 years old. Louis Haiman’s music is a balance of gentle synth arrangements swimming atop a sea of low-end frequencies. Ambient soundscapes drift among layer after layer of meandering melodies while deep, syncopated rhythms and bass keep listeners grounded. A study in contrasts, his compositions are both tranquil and urgent brought on by some of his earliest influences.
