Fishermen – Delirium Tremens [KMWL004]

Fishermen is a new project created by Martin (MRSK) and his friend Thomas. Their first EP was released on the Skudge White series. When it is time for their second coming, Delirium Tremens, the duo delivers four tracks of dark, grinding soul techno, inspired by the sea. To be played at maximum volume.
Hash – Spice EP [BOSQRT002]

Bosconi Squirts present a release by modular synths man Hash aka Daniele De Rossi. 4×100% pure analog bombs amazingly produced moving forward from finest Minimal Techno a la Robert Hood to more modern cynematic and experimental rotative productions. Two of the tracks are revisited by label boss Corcos, on his techno vest and Ennio Colaci, both the men behind Minimono project.
VA – 1 [DOLLY014]

Outstanding EP on Dolly again, who keeps on delivering at the highest level. Four equally strong tracks (of which three will be featured on Steffi’s upcoming Panoramabar mix cd) by Dexter, Third Side, John Barera & Will Martin, and label lady Steffi herself. Crossing the thin line of contemporary house & techno with slight hints of acid and proper US deep house, but basically all just can described as strong & plain groove, for maximum dancefloor delight.
Moiré – Rolx [RHM003]

After his debut 12inch on Actress’s Werkdisc label comes Moiré’s new 3-track 12″ on Rush Hour. Moire is a mysterious producer hiding behind hypnotic visuals and a well-groomed cloak of anonymity. Now he’s ready to show his hand further with this second release, a three-track EP of what he proudly calls “London techno”.
Mathew Jonson – Automaton [CRM110]

Honorary Rebel Mathew Jonson will soon be unleashing his long awaited third artist album on Crosstown Rebels but first a slice of the Canadian minimal house pioneer’s inimitable style with two tracks of distinct tonal contrast both with the unique stamp of a Jonson production. A-side ‘Automaton’ is a powerful trip with a solid yet nuanced drive, intricate tribal beats with an almost syncopated African influence combined with gnarled bass sequences in a never-ending groove. B-side ‘In The Stars’ enters a more abstract realm, with celestial synth melodies melting into a sound bed of futuristic bleeps and a soporific groove of percussion and a heavy bass beat. In the breaks, vague jazzy chords fuse with an echoing voice descending from space.
The Cyclist – Bones In Motion [LR022]

“Bones in Motion, the Northern Ireland hailing producer’s latest full-length exercise, is dance music Leaving Records style – thoroughly busted techno for the post-punk demo tape set. On a blurry path between house music’s early analog experiments and astounding vistas in modern digital production, you will hear ghostly wisps of woozy trance, distorted and dazzling, cooing through a thick haze of warbling warmth and soulful, revolving resonance. Propelled rhythmically by a ramshackle assemblage of maimed drum machines and battered samples, Bones in Motion doggedly pedals ahead with no finish line in sight – towards the endless possibilities of electronic music.”
Vedomir – Marcel Dettmann Remixes [DKMNTL012]

Marcel Dettmann makes his debut on the Dekmantel imprint and takes on two Vedomir alias Vakula remixes. So what else to expect but forward thinking techno from the man who has been widely regarded as one of the genres most respected dj’s? Keywords are stripped, dark, raw, hypnotizing and dystopian; we could almost say ‘business as usual’ from this longtime Berghain-resident.
Par Grindvik – Air [STHLMLTD027]
Exillon – Mind Technocontrol EP [FRV009]

Frigio happily announces a new release by San Francisco based artist Exillon who is well known for his amazing works for Detroit Underground among other labels. In Mind Techno Control EP, Exillon (aka Jay Fields) drops 3 energetic and overwhelming tracks. On side A we have an incredible 10 minute long acid techno killer that for sure will burn dancefloors. You can hear all the analogue gear frequencies bouncing in your bones. On B side, the 2 tracks keep the same forcefulness and get closer to an IDM drum structure that maintain the groove but out of the straight 4×4 beat. By using deeper melodies and mixing different styles, the result is very rich in textures and makes the sound exotic.
Steve Summers live @ Boiler Room 02.04.2013
Benjamin Damage – Heliosphere [50WEAPONSCD12]

Sonic sci-fi techno album reminiscent not just of early Plaid, Black Dog Productions, Boards of Canada or Luke Slater´s 7th Plain project, but also classic dancefloor classics by the likes of Surgeon, Regis, Dave Clarke or Jeff Mills that knew how to keep a crowd entertained. Bringing to mind the flavor of 1994 without losing the sense that we’re into 2013 as of now. This is dance music with conviction and an album straight and beautiful.
Sculpturism – Return To Form EP 1/3 [SCULPT010]

Dutch Techno label from the Audiosculpture crew with some hot remixes by Eduardo De La Calle and Area Forty_One. These long time techno heads based in the Randstad area start with some fresh new tracks on this trilogy called “Return to Form”. Sculpturism is delivering a fresh track for each release together with some of their favorite artists remixing their back catalogue. For the first EP, Area Forty_One delivers a killer techno remix for Dusk taken from Audiosculpture 5. Eduardo De La Calle takes a whole different approach. He turns Dusk into a deep and hypnotizing trip which takes you into oblivion. Some limited copies on special white vinyl edition.
Abstract Division – Time and Perception Pt.1 [DREF016]

Paul Boex’s Dynamic Reflection imprint is continually growing in calibre with each release. Time & Perception Part 1 is the labels 16th title and fifth for Abstract Division, a collab between Boex and Dave Miller. The EP opens with “Fierce Tension”, which sees the duo bury their siren-sounding synths into a condensed wall of sinister force, while Shifted’s booming and reverb heavy remix annihilates much of the originals musicality, it unrelentingly bores a war path of linear techno championed by the likes of DVS1. On the flip, “Comprehend” is like being caught in a wind storm of flying bolts, rust and ripped roofing, while the EPs ambient track “Collision” squeaks and gurgles like a alien trapped at the bottom cave in a Ridley Scott film.
VA – Charged Particles [TSU019]

Spherical Coordinates is the new project by Oscar Mulero and Christian Wunsch. “They join software and hardware to explore the deeper side of techno, heavily inspired by space and futurism, focusing on liquid textures, harmonic sequences and classic drum machine sounds, yet preserving the danceable feeling.”Mike Parker and Reeko on a deep tip on the B-side.
Delta Funktionen – Sun Storm / Onkalo [99DSR]

Still fresh from his debut full length Traces last year, Delta Dunktionen is back with his first EP of the year. As well a new track, it features a special Karenn remix of ‘Onkalo’, a track previously released on Traces, as well as ‘Challenger’ from the same album. The first original is ‘Sun Storm’ with its tumbling Chicago drums, chattering claps and sci-fi swirls all adding up to something that’s as heady as it is futuristic. ‘Challenger’ – previously cd/digi only – on the other hand sounds like a much more calm and serene trip through the cosmos, with slowed electro stylings and plenty of occult details coming over like the soundtrack to a film as much as a darkened dancefloor.
Erika – Hexagon Cloud Remixed [IT031]

Hexagon Cloud RMXD celebrates the diverse influences of Erika’s solo release Hexagon Cloud on Interdimensional Transmissions Marcellus Pittman remixed the hypnotic Tow Ride from Erika’s debut Solo album with a stated goal of making it darker and ”more evil”. Canadian electronic music duo Orphx, remixed Hexagon Cloud, resulting in an immense, impeccable production. BMG, Erika’s mate in Ectomorph, also shares his vision of her track, A Cellular Meltdown.
Noleian Reusse – Airborne [BKTK002]

Noleian Reusse is back with his second EP, Airborne, on his own imprint Black Tekno. Three modern techno tracks that reflect Reusse’s own style, while echoing the rich musical history of his hometown, Chicago
