Hipodrome Podcast series continues with Alexandru Jijian, an up-and-coming dj from Bucharest, Romania. With this podcast, he had shown his experimental side. For me this mix is like a very very hot summer day, like the ones we are having right now … The mix has around 90 minutes and it’s starting very deep, then as the heat is getting higher and higher, the mix is going into some ambient stuff. By the time when we passed half of the mix, the heat seems to disappear slightly as the night is coming. The mix takes a sudden turn and goes to straight up techno.

With this ‘Merovingienne ep’, I:Cube arrives at the synthesis. The influences are there, seminal: mental techno and creepy funk mate to give birth to sublimes bastards. A dirty sound, and chiseled structures, which reveal a little more each listening.
Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker aka GB comes with The Xpander ep. He delivers some deep introvert electro tracks. A-track The Xpander is an uptempo track, while the flip side is a more introvert electro piece that slowly builds and builds until both feet aren’t touching ground anymore.
New Shake gear backed with remixes from Osborne and Photonz on Astro Lab Recordings! ‘At The Bonnie Brook’ catches him in a top mood, banging out bucking house beats with crisply cornered synth edits finished as only Shake can. Osborne’s mix drops the tempo for a ruff Detroit jackers fix, while Photonz gives contrasting ruff and smoove fixes on the flip.
