Kassem Mosse & Lowtec – Workshop Ep [LAID007]

The house of Workshop is powerfully represented by Kassem Mosse & Lowtec on Laid records this time.
Kyle Hall – Sun Goddes EP [WO004]

New Kyle Hall on his own label. Two crazy jackin Detroit house cuts as only Kyle can deliver…
Steven Tang – The Verged Sessions [AES010]

The Verged Sessions represents the evolution of the Chicago/Detroit sound … full of lush orchestrated strings, synths and deep pads with a massive foundation of thumping TR-808 & 909 drums. Steven has previously unleashed quality deepness, for almost a decade on his own label, Emphasis Recordings.

Juju & Jordash – Tattoo’s Island [PHP047]

This 12inch contains the duo’s psychedelic-kraut-techno “Tattoo’s Island” in three takes! The original is a tension-laden epic cut while the dub version strips it down a bit and changes the tone mid-track to a more techy-edge – spiritual, snare driven and dubbed out to oblivion. Tom Trago’s “Lost In The Jungle” remix gives the track a whole new twist

Patrick Pulsinger – Impassive Skies [DB154]

The return of Vienna’s producer legend with a fresh 2010 techno album incorporating influences from late 1970s disco/wave punk, 1980s electro, 1990s advanced techno & a timeless intergalactic jazz feel. All eight tracks on the album show great diversity in style and musical approach. Several guest musicians and vocalists played an important part in the development of the album.
Skudge – Remixes Part 1 [SKUDGE001R]
Surround Around Sound @ Chestionabil Joint 7, MNAC 25.06.2010
Harry Thumann – Andromeda [HANSA260320]

Reissue of the hard to find original Hansa International pressing of Harry Thumann’s 1983 cosmic classic ‘Andromeda’. Packed with killer disco and cosmic tunes, this mind-blowing album features some of the most advanced synth and electronic sounds out there. A fave of DJ Harvey and Daniel Wang, this includes some real dance floor bombs and of course, that wicked Sphinx vocoder track.
VA – Voyeurhythm EP 2 [VR003]

Part 3 in the amazing Voyeurhythm series… Two more spaced-out slowmo summer house/discojams by Benjamin Sun and Monte Carlo Interchange with even bigger basslines than the previous ones…
Who Made Who – Keep Me In My Plane Part 2 [GOMMA130]

A beautiful downtempo disco anthem that brings together everything that the Danish disco trio is about. The remix package includes one of the best remixes London-based Neo Disco Rollers Reverso 68 ever did, besides a second remix by Germany’s Remixer DJ Koze And last but not least a remix by The KDMS, featuring 21 year old Polish Maximian Skiba and London’s Disco Diva Kathy Diamond. Plus a laid back version by up-and-coming band Modernaire.
A & O – You Ain’t Jack [STILOVE026]

Stilove4music number 26 is here with two producers Andee Frost and Oohee. Sample based disco injected house house tracks on the reliable Stilove4music!
Cosmic Revenge – Cold Hearted EP [ELIM003]

Cosmic Revenge presents his second EP, a four tracker for Fortified Audio. Opener ‘Hurricane Blues’ comes off like Ikonika’s ‘Fish’ with a more defined IDM debt, while ‘Mutations’ follows with a clean and melodic garage breaks groove. ‘Cold Hearted’ is the best thing here, running an Altered Natives style drum entanglement with jazzy chords to match before ‘Late Nights’ jams on a halfstepped Gangsta boogie flex.
Altered Natives – The Bitch / Crop Duster [3024009]

The Bitch’ bounces a cheeky square bassline into play with old-skool ruff-house vibes pivoting about shoulder dropping syncopation. On the flip ‘Crop Duster’ takes it down low with crouching subs and skittering percussion showing the lineage of Afrobeat through house and broken beats to end up in Natives territory.
Donga & Blake – Grown Ups EP [WRND05]

Debut of Donga & Blake! Their sound is a balanced fusion of soulful house, deep textured techno and rhythms absorbed from garage, funky and broken beat. These 3 immaculate tracks have a simple appeal but also contain many layered sonic details for the closer listener.
