Charlton Ravenberg is the dutch artist who signs the 4th M_Rec Ltd’s vinyl. In this EP he has 4 tracks…where it shows its full potential. In tracks such as ‘Basterd’ and ‘Slow Down’ creates trip slow and hypnotic… in tracks like ‘Backwards’ and ‘Forwards’ trips are a little more techno with Detroit school influences. It’s a release that will sure know more about the label and the artist for its modernity and its substance.

Classic 1997 house track from Walt J aka Walter Jones. Curle have jumped at the chance to re-issue it and we don’t blame them. Plus they’ve got DJ QU – easily one of the best underground house producers around at the moment – to do one hell of a rework.

Rocco Caine presents his second vinyl release on Leutral Recordings with some atmospheric techno tracks. Contains a remix by Heiko Laux (Kanzleramt) a phat anthem starting over.

John Daly is delivering one killer Chicago influenced house tracks after another. Obviously getting inspiration from his favorite Larry Heard and Marshall Jefferson songs, turning that into those long smooth John Daly tracks with soulful basslines, lush melodies, intense strings and euphoric breakdowns that take things to another level. Not tracks for every moment on every dancefloor, but tools for the real house connaisseurs who understand special records for special moments and who treasure them like the crown jewels!

Detroit artist Jason Fine, the master of the introspective and personal techno sound gives us another killer release, once again transforming daily life experience into beautiful and moving deep techno and house. Jason Fine continues to play around with layered melodies and harmony mixed with raw and funky drum programming. The EP opens with the track Orange, a beautiful monotone organ based techno track, revealing hard times. Violet continues in the same vein. Blue melodies play around over minor organ chords and heavy kick drum. On the inner tracks Blue and Red Jason with confidence moves into the electro territory, still keeping emotion and atmosphere up front. Even though the concept behind this EP is the full color spectrum, the mood is all over blue.

August it’s hot, Chicago is hotter, so we give you a hot chicago-house mix. Dragos Rusu delivered us a rough acid house podcast to jack your bodies in the long hot summer nights. Dragos is living in Bucharest and he is an editor for an electronic music magazine / promoter / booking agent / manager / dj you name it, if it’s related to electronic music he’d been there. Dragos is one of the founders of beatfactor.ro more than 8 years ago, a web site that became one of the most important Romanian online electronic music magazines. Dragos is djing for some years now and he is a dj without inhibitions, known for playing mostly in underground, infamous, hedonistic parties and afterhours.
