Mike Macharello and Duane Thamm JR’s Knight Action project was responsible for this colossal 1985 landmark release that saw a heady fusion of Euro influenced and Italo Disco sounds meet in the windy city and in turn create history.

Musical Tasting is a series of events, a collaboration between Asociatia My Transylvania and The Hipodrome Of Music, aiming to promote countries, regions and their musical genres, combining auditions with traditional recipes from the area, cooked with as many local and seasonal ingredients. Matt Edwards’ R-Time Records reissue label drops four more Sir Lord Commix tracks in the third ‘Retroactive’ release. Real name Amoon Andrews, the British house producer’s early discography continues to fetch high prices on the vinyl market. Dropping earlier this year, the first two instalments featured some of Commix’s finest cuts and now the Rekids offshoot presents the third chapter, following re-releases of Mark The 909 King.

For the fourth instalment of SCB remix EPs from Hotflush, Mor Elian and Hammer step up for their own interpretations of tracks from Caibu. Fever AM label co-founder and hybrid club producer Mor Elian provides a spaced out take on ‘Fish Bowl’ full of angular drums and woozy synths. For his take on ‘Test Tubes’, Hammer formulates a steady groover for the after hours.

Violet Poison / Bakunin Commando – KESS008/VV008 [KESS008/VV008]
Sweden’s Kess Kill and Italy’s Veleno Viola join forces resulting in a (nowadays) rare vinyl split release, one side per label. Violet Poison needs little introduction, being one of the first and most productive in the new new wave movement of industrial music. He helms the Veleno Viola side, coincidentally being his own label, With three songs of purist industrial with its feet in both body and rhythmic noise. On Kess Killís Side B, the very same signore Baudazzi shows another side with his anarcho alias Bakunin Commando. Two tracks leaning heavily towards post-punk and proto-techno, raising the pulse far above the wholesome, in true Kess Kill manner.
