Adalberto – House Party [AUDATHETA]

Jacked, jammmmmed and recorded on acid during a three day house party somewhere outside Chicago. Now this is released on Auda Theta.
Ricardo Miranda – Chicago House Sessions [NSRVINYL002]

This is the second wax release on Noble Square Recordings. Ricardo Miranda, the label owner, delivers a 4 tracks EP featuring some deep chicago house with nice female vocals.
Virgo Four – Resurrection [RH113CD]

“Resurrection” is the follow up to the reissue of Virgo (Four)’s S/T album, which was released by Rush Hour in 2010. This album is a collection of unreleased tracks that were produced over a 6 year period between 1984 and 1990 in various home studios around Chicago. These tracks were selected from 100’s of 4-track tapes that had been untouched and unreleased all these years due to local record business politics and disinterest. These demo recordings have been restored and mastered for release. The CD release holds 15 tracks, while the limited edition vinyl box set contains another 15 tracks, totaling a cool 30 tracks.
“Resurrection” really shows the rich, diverse and unique quality of Virgo Four, which leaves you wondering what impact they would have made on the (Chicago) house scene if they would have gotten released back in the day.
Elec Pt. 1 – The Truth EP [AACID001]

Jackin Chicago styles with a distinct European edge, as Elec Pt.1 kicks off the Abstract Forms sub-label, Abstract Acid. Expect Bunker style dynamics, low-slung basslines, contorting acid and downright mean ‘n’ moody riffs.
Tevo Howard – The Drum Machine Man [THR001]

Tevo Howard Recordings is the follow up to Beautiful Granville records. “The Drum Machine Man” came to mind from going through international security with drum machines in duffel bags. We hope that you’ll enjoy this new direction and selection, as the motto for this label is to be: ‘Let’s move a timeless wave in spirit and music’.
Rick Howard – Do What You Have To Do [HHYR013]

Tevo Howard joins up with his father again to deliver another classic Chicago house record. It’s another must-have from the Howard camp.
Marcello Napoletano & I.F.M. – Renegade Roots [BOSCONI014]

New release from the Italians Marcello Napoletano & I.F.M., named “Renegade Roots” represents the evolution of their own vision of house music. On the A side we have 2 tracks with almost the same sound philosophy, filtered, dirty, analog percussive and futuristic chicagoish dub house, from Marcello Napoletano. The B side instead has got definitely an oldschool feel, with 2 tracks from I.F.M.

Obsolete Music Technology – Relapse EP [MDREAMS03]

Obsolete Music Technology aka Steve Tang & Machining Dreams are on a roll, with wax dropping hot & thick. Tang represents a retro-futurist vision of post-acid Chicago house, all made with vintage tech & machine soul.

Andy Blake – Cave Paintings 2 [CP002]

Andy Blake gets back to basics with a 2nd installment of his all-analogue, hardware-powered ‘Cave Paintings’ workouts. The vibe is meaningfully rough and ready, the A-side capturing a locked-in drum machine pattern and mental reversed synthline synced in tangled, captivating copulations, whereas the flipside gets loose with proper Chicago-meets-UK jack patterns.

Chicago Skyway – Wreckage [EGC1001]

Debut album from Sean Hernandez aka Chicago Skyway that brings top quality production from start to finish. 8 tracks that range from the hard hitting acid house to raw basement cuts to the ultra deep beats.
