Splendidly full spectrum dedication to Detroit and Chicago from Poland’s Kuba Sojka. ‘Mysterious Intrigue’ is his second release on Mathematics, expanding on the ‘Bright Shadow Of A Star’ showcase with two plates spanning beatdown, piano House, acid and more romantical styles. The first late is largely more loved-up and smoky, but the second covers the ruder stuff, from the climactic peaks of ‘Do Not Be Afraid’ to the hard-bodied wriggle of ‘I Can’t Stop (Acid Mix)’.

This is the first release of this new American label, featuring some phat jacking tracks from Specter, Aroy Dee and Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being.

Dairmount curates the third episode of Room With A View’s Midnight Circles vinyl-only series and there’s plenty of reason to indulge. Firstly Motor City Drum Ensemble’ delicious Mr Fingers inspired jam “Moving Through Clouds”. Alongside this is the last ever musical contribution from the dearly departed Aaron Carl, whose distinct tones ride the hypnotic, ever so spectral, Detroit back of Sebastien San with real aplomb. On the flip Basic Soul Unit is in crescendo building mood with the deep, emotive bump of his classic “Bedroom Blues” which is a perfect bedfellow for the one real unfamiliar name here in the shape of Christo. In such exalted company the rising Derby based producer excels with the reverberant skittering brilliance of “New Jazzno” based around the most joyous of jettisoning piano leads.

Danny Wolfer’s is back again on Greece’s Echovolt label. Once again we see his trademark style of soulful, narrative electronic music spread across these four barrio tinged tracks, the standout being the massive Poverties Paradise which is a deeply emotional vocal excursion reminiscent of some of the most classic Chicago cuts with the signature Legowelt stamp planted firmly on it.

The second part from HotMix Records Underground Dance series. Tracks from Soichi Terada, Takeshi Kouzuki, Jack Street, Flavio Vecchi, Joe Drive and Analogous Doom.

A full Urbanism EP with remixes by Chiba (Argentina’s Hernan Cronner & Chicago’s Ricardo Miranda) and Daryl Cura – with the original version. One of the favorites on 3 Chairs member Rick Wilhite’s “Vibes” compilation, this track gets a proper single release complete with remixes by MIRANDA himself as well as Daryl Cura. “U Are Your Art”, on the flip, is a dope deep house bonus tune for even more added bang.

‘It’s A Crime’ is taken from Virgo Four’s recently released ‘Resurrection’ album, which is now available as a single with remixes from none other than Caribou and Hunee.

Great release on this little experimental US label! Deep & warm analogue electronix/house crossovers, featuring a jacking chi-remix by Jamal Moss.

Hour House Is Your Rush presents a new track from Jon Dasilva “Love Is All We Need” with vocals from Donald Waugh. The EP includes 2 version of this tracks and remix from Braille.

A quartet of original braindance tracks from Brighton’s th’idiot and a remix of each by Global Goon, Luke’s Anger, Roy of the Ravers and the mysterious DJ Spunkshower.

After being introduced with his “Life on Titan EP” on Mathematics, this rising producer brings his debut full-length containing some of the freshest sounding material of present day house. Dirty beats, lo-fi gritty melodies with mind crushing energy.

Dionne returns to Smallville for a sweet Deep House session. He firstly seduces with the snugly slotted square bass and blue pads of the title track before ushering in the opulent atmospheres and elegant rhythms of ‘What You Are’, and finishing on the martian jazz melodies of ‘Capsule’.

Lush and deep tracks on the nice Machining Dreams label by Hakim Murphy, Dj Spider, G Marcell, Amir Alexander & Dakini9.

Rough and ready, previously unreleased takes on Phuture’s blueprint-setting ‘Acid Trax’. Frontside is a 4:45min version by Phuture with slightly altered drum pattern harnessed to that virulent 303 sequence. Flipside Jackmaster Hater comes like a oil-spattered Chi-town mechanic, retuning the engine of battered but classic motor.

X2 Members: Traxx, D’Marc Cantu & JTC drop a three track V.A. EP on the burgeoning Lux Rec imprint. Each artist delivers, with some pretty signature styles on display. A great EP showcasing these maverick sickos.

Second release on Clone Shop Only Series coming from an unknown project called Vernon Felicity.
