“A free compilation from the Pinkman HQ to thank you ALL for the support over the last two years. And keep an eye out on Pinkman in 2015, lot’s of good things will come!”

Low lit mini album from Willie Burns & Florian Kupfer. Recorded together in Brooklyn, New York 2014.

Three is the number, Basement Toolz the titel. Once again Rat Life Records is taking Mickey on a night out to the sewer. Here are two tracks made by Credit 00 with a borrowed TR 909 drum machine. Side A is called Korg the Groove, as the title already reveals, it’s inspired by Aril Brikha’s classic Detroit Techno cut. On the Flip side you will find 909ish, one drum machine and one synthesizer, which is not much but all you need and more, plus there is extra noise on the clap to amplify your face slapping pleasure.

Uncanny Valley and Permanent Vacation are joining forces for an Uncanny Vacation! There has always been a lively exchange between Dresden and Munich and both labels are known for releasing a wide variety of music so it was only natural to team up for a joint release. The record starts off with Permanent Vacation-regular and UK-veteran DMX Krew and his “Astro Logical” which is as sharp and crisp as Electro can go. The bass line strikes hard but he also squeezes some great melancholic synth lines out of his machines. After that, Uncanny Valley’s Sandrow M finally gives access to the much in demand live version of “Prayervan”, a tune that everybody has been singing along during his live sets. On the flipside, Jacob Korn hands in “Eieiei” which rises on a percussion-heavy drum basement to a discoid House stomper thanks to an irresistible sample straight from an obscure flea market find. Drvg Cvltvre delivers a tropical House jam. “See You Again” is riding on a funky Disco bass line and creates a warm and cosy atmosphere with a whole bag of sound ideas.

Two years after the artistic statement that was their expansive third LP, famed live act and hardware lovers Juju & Jordash are releasing another full-length on Dekmantel. The duo fully embrace the album format, creating a tight tapestry of emotive and danceable sound that reveals more detail and depth with each new listen. Textures range from organic and lush to synthetic and arresting. Deep-space serenity gets juxtaposed with more urgent and alien paranoia. The new release marks a clear evolution in the career of these singular artists.

Annanan follows up his strong debut on Forbidden Planet with another crunched up techno three tracker on Pinkman from Rotterdam.

In addition to his solo work as Patricia, Brooklyn-based Max Ravitz also spends his time in several collaborative projects. There is Inhalants with Jahiliyya Fields, the superbly punned Patreke with Terekke and Masks with Alexis ‘Arp’ Georgopoulos. As Arp, Georgopoulos has been responsible for some wonderful releases on Smalltown Supersound and RVNG, though as you’d expect Masks finds the artist deviating much closer to the dancefloor. The Food Plus Drug (II) 12″ for Opal Tapes will appeal to fans of hazy, smoked out techno (think Huerco S) with “Zebra” the sort of track that will bend minds on the dancefloor.

Born to Trinidadian and Finnish parents in Sweden, Jean-Louis Huhta took an early interest in percussion Punk, African, Disco, Dub, Detroit Techno and Chicago Acid were all early sonic influences. Couple these genres with an interest in percussion, drums, synthesizers and skateboarding and you are half-way into describing the sound of Dungeon Acid.

“These are two segments from recent live improvised Juju & Jordash club shows. First chunk was recorded at a super famous Berlin club and the second segment is from the Dekmantel UFO ADE night in Amsterdam. Our live shows are completely improvised. We plug in a bunch of Synths, Drum machines, a guitar and a mic, and just jam away with the dancers. Nothing pre prepared except our mind-set.
I guess getting loose is what we are trying to do on stage and what we would like dancers in the clubs to do. Just feel some stuff and let loose!”

Takeshi Kouzuki is back on Macadam Mambo Trax, he delivers here 3 powerful tracks completely futuristically weird and unusual, mixing acid, jakbeat and techno styles with a funky touch and fantastic vocoder’s voices. 2 Weird yet powerful jacking tracks and 1 balearic groover, all with that Nippon twist.

Vanguard Sound follows up on Guerilla Soul’s self-titled EP with label co-head Chris Mitchell delivering Feng Shui Flow. Feng Shui Flow is an exploration into deep harmonic textures in the form of three distinct offerings.
