Alien Rain – Alien Rain VI [ALIENRAIN006]

Man of many aliases Patrick Radomski has saved some of his best material for the Alien Rain series, which has been delivering bombastic blasts of acid-fired techno hedonism since 2012. “Alienopolis”, the track that kicks off this sixth EP, is a suitably no-holds-barred romp through intense club techno territory, with genuinely mind-altering TB-303 motifs weaving in and out of a no-holds-barred rhythm track. Over on the B-side, he opts for a slightly deeper, darker and more intoxicating feel on psychedelic creep-out “XOX 31”, before sharpening his acid lines further on the otherworldly hypnotism of “Illusion”, where sampled vocal snippets help enhance the druggy mood.

Kwartz – Isolated Process EP [RSVD003]

A collapse of any truth, absence of light, and spectroscopic industrial manoeuvres in the dark: this is Isolated Process Ep realized by Kwartz. Isolated process is a robotic monotonic thought deep down the furthest abyss. Belling drums alongside drones and solid grey basslines appears on first Function and Second Function: two different points of view, two moments about the same hypnotic march. Milton Bradley’s remix is a slower exploration of what remains alive underneath the space. Slow and cyclical beats hits back the mind once lost in the ocean. Pure machine darkness.

Alien Rain – Alien Rain 4 [ALIENRAIN004]

Milton Bradley lands his extra-terrestrial alias back on home soil. This fourth Alien Rain 12″ is arguably the best release of the series so far, with “Alienated 4A” tumbling through a wormhole of fluctuating acid pulses and a sturdy 4/4 kicks, while “Alienated 4B” shares a similar make up, the acid is coarser and the drums harder. “Alienated 4C” then sees Bradley in deeper techno mode, as ambient textures float around two voices of acid – one high the other low – making for a moody workout similar to his 303-driven productions on Prologue.

Alien Rain – Acid Reign [DSC002]

Alien Rain is a tainted Techno project of Milton Bradley. Under this alias the Berlin based artist has served up disgruntled Electronics and downright deranged Acid. Panel beaten 90s tracks that pervert and pummel. Floor a-bombs that leave behind nothing but a 303 wasteland. Mr Bradley has caught the attention of Deep Sound Channel and been called upon to deliver his style of hypnotic fallout Techno. Two sealed vials of audio venom are the result. ”Acid Reign 1” is a looming beast, a corrosive creature dripping famine and pestilence from every pore. The flip is a steady builder. Slowly Alien Rain constructs an analogue scape. Bulging bass and tempered Acid annihilation threatens throughout but is kept in check. Beelzebub brutality from the warehouse warped mind of Milton Bradley.

This third EP offers up four brand next and exclusive techno cuts, take straight from the Inertia compilation Ann Aimee have proudly compiled. Things open with the dark, skipping beats of Lucy, before Milton Bradley layers plenty of filter and reverb over a kicking beat for his textured effort, ‘Sequence 1’. Mike Dehnert, contributes some ravey techno loops in the form of ‘Pneumatic’ before the EP is brought to a close with some gray-scale bleakness from Ozka.

VA – The Dark Thoughts Of Fate’s Manufacturer [ZLF00G]

The A side is a powerful techno machine with Zooloft’s trademark, a compound of solid and precise rhythms driven by a dangerous deep bass. It digs a mindblowing path with contribution from drones and effects. B1 is from Milton Bradley, who delivers a dark techno track in his own pure style. Sinister echoes move forward and backward into a tunnel, trying to escape from claustrophobic beats and surreal atmosphere. The EP is closed by a Zooloft remix of Milton Bradley’s track.
