Moscow musician Alexander Lomakin performs his debut on Hypnotic Connection under his pseudonym Gegen Mann. Alexander presented in this release a dark and somewhat melancholic synthesizer sound, balancing between electro and EBM, smoothly plunging into a hypnotic trance and unpretentiously obliging to dance. The remixes were performed by the head of the label Muzikalist and a mindfriend from Moscow Unit-83 aka Sergey Timoshov.

Four tracks of robust drums, sharp melodies and acid doused bass is what Muzikalist brings to Chem Club’s seventh release to date. The title track, Bizarre Feeling, swirls with layered squelch while ample grit and build progress throughout. The A2, Polizei, is a paranoid acid number that opens up into multiple melodies and a muddled eurodance vocal that’ll leave you looking over your shoulder. The opening B side, Short Track for Sad Lovers, takes a more reflective approach combining a blinking lead with rich pads without resigning itself from being danceable. The final track, Marine, uses these persistent elements and ramps them up to close out the release with tense form.
Hypnotic Connection invites on board ЯTRA, a St. Petersburg musician who released on Enfant Terrible and Electro Music Coalition, with his superb jams that carry the mind into outer space, allowing you to feel the strain of overload when you go into orbit. Absolute bangers for gloomy dance floors, coupled with a leisurely remix from Muzikalist.
