Dino Sabatini – Mantis 06 [DSR/MTS06]

SABATINI, Dino - Mantis 06

Dino Sabatini arrives on Delsin’s Mantis series with a charged, imposing statement of meditative techno. Sabatini has been at the forefront of the deep techno scene since the mid 00s, cultivating a sound with his own Outis Music which acknowledges the structures of club music while reaching beyond obvious drama and brute force, offering something more subliminal instead. On Mantis 06, Sabatini blurs the lines between organic and electronic percussion as he doubles down on steadfast rhythms executed with delicacy and impact in equal measure.

VA – WorldWideWindow [ENISSLAB]

In light of the current Covid-19 Pandemic Studio Enisslab headed up by Italian DJ / Producer and Live Act Neel has announced the release of a very special 56 track charity compilation project, fundraising for The Red Cross, who are working extremely hard alongside health services internationally that are feeling the effects of the corona-virus outbreak the most right now. The compilation is available for a limited time via Bandcamp and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Red Cross to help the world’s most affected countries in the Covid-19 pandemic.

This special release features over 6 hours of previously unreleased and unheard material, where an all star cast of artists were encouraged to share music that reflects this time we are living in.

Neel, who is one half of live duo Voices From The Lake, and LF58 speaks out on behalf of the initiative, organised in collaboration with improvised live project Circle Of Live, and visual art collective Sbagliato. He explains:

“In this situation we all need to look after each other and this project is a start. I wanted to reach as many people as possible to spread this message, so I started to share the idea personally with lots of artists and the response was amazing. I wanted them to take their time with whichever tools they had available at home to produce some music that reflects this time we are living in, a contribution for this special project and to portray a special message.”

The project’s cover art image brought to you by visual art collective Sbagliato shows pictures of windows of houses and studios taken by the artists themselves: 56 musicians, 56 windows, 56 tracks shape a new place of sharing.

Modern Heads – Elementi Compatibili EP [SL004]

Introducing the fourth release from Southern Lights, dedicated to releasing high-end modern techno. Our fourth release is a journey into magnetic realms and cosmic orbits from Modern Heads with the ‘Elementi Comptabili’ EP. Modern Heads is the production brainchild of Dino Sabatini and Gianluca Meloni, who together have pioneered their version of timeless techno, always capturing their vision of the future in the present. Elementi Compatibili comprises of four elements. Elemento A and C are both beautifully crafted ambient excursions, both softly navigating their way along celestial paths. Elemento B and D move from ambient bliss to more sharper, moving sequences. The hypnotism is more pronounced and a signature style of Modern Heads.

Claudio PRC – Volumi Dinamici [SEM087]

Volumi Dinamici is the second long player of Claudio PRC, a project that combines music and art inspired by the Futurist concepts of movement and dynamism and artistic currents such as Abstract Expressionism; the name itself is a tribute to a work of Italian artist and pioneer Luigi Russolo. Volumi Dinamici is a collection of 11 tracks accompanied by the same number of illustrations, different from each other but characterized by a common technical and compositional approach. The several shades of the atmospheres and the linear rhythm of the grooves come together to form a dense and mental musical dimension, a journey into the sounds and their intrinsic symbolic value. Depth, lights, shadows and noises are tangible elements of this work that mark the beginning of a new sound research based mainly on the instinctive use of machines and analogue instruments.

Dino Sabatini – Concentrica [OUTISOPERA002]

After inaugurating the ‘Opera’ sub-series of his Outis Music label with the ‘Omonimo’ double LP, Dino Sabatini has invited some choice allies to help define the vocabulary and expand the vision of the new imprint. The aforementioned album, which wove together Sabatini’s atmospheric conjuring skill with the piano flourishes of Antonello Salis, already exhibits the label’s commitment to dismantling the ‘either-or’ logic of contemporary genres by successfully merging a variety of supposedly irreconcilable styles, talents, and worldviews (e.g. both mythological and the technological perspectives). The follow-up EP, ‘Concentrica’, draws on the material from ‘Omonimo’ and delivers it into the hands of additional remixers in order to continue the Outis Opera voyage.

Dino Sabatini – Omonimo [OUTISOPERA001LP]

As both a producer and the helmsman of the Outis Music label, Dino Sabatini has carved out a distinctive musical style that shows a great reverence for both ancient archetypes and future possibilities for change. With one foot planted in a mysterious past and the other foot planted in a world yet to arrive, Sabatini’s works are carefully realized emotional journeys that intertwine shimmers of optimism with undercurrents of poignancy or nostalgia. His latest full-length offering, ‘Omonimo’ (that’s ‘homonym’ for non-speakers of Italian), brings all of this to fruition on a record that demands (and rewards) deep listening.

TGP aka Claudio PRC & Ness – Icore [OUTIS007]

For the next release Outis Music has chosen Sardinian artists Claudio PRC and Ness. Both known previously for their solo projects, their collaborations, and also together as “The Gods Planet” they journey deep into remote sides of techno music. The affinity between concepts of their TGP project and Dino Sabatini’s philosophy leads them to make their contribution to the label. “Icore” is an obsessive and straight 4/4 track, where a hypnotic and synthetic arp floats into visceral and noisy atmospheres. Beside the original, Italian artist Nuel give his dry and wild version, as well label boss Dino Sabatini complete the EP with a very deep and transcendental remix.

Dino Sabatini / Edit Select – Multiplo [MZXIV]

Uniting the steely dance floor focus of Tony Scott and Sabatini’s immersive, dub-soaked textures was a masterstroke on Motoguzzi’s part. It’s no surprise then that both versions of “Multiplo” are radically different, or that they both stamp each producer’s unique vision of techno. Edit Select’s take is a heavy affair that never veers into senselessly banging sounds. Instead, he lays down a steely rhythm, hissing percussion and waves of dub-soaked effects. On Sabatini’s version, the dub influence isn’t far away, but comes to the surface in a different manner. Lithe back beats act as the backdrop for multi-layered chords and bleeps that gradually emerge from the depths of Sabatini’s understated but powerful arrangement.

Modern Heads – Chapter II [OUTIS006]

After a few years away from the scene Modern Heads aka Dino Sabatini & Gianluca Meloni are back with a new 12”  on Outis Music, called “Chapter II”.  The second chapter of an adventure that began in 2001 in a basement in Rome.

Edit Select – Phlox [PRGLP006]

Scottish producer Tony Scott graces Prologue for the first time with a debut album under the Edit Select guise – now as established a name as his old Percy X work was. The Munich label is cultivating quite the reputation for techno album projects, with excellent longplayers from Mike Parker, Echologist, Dino Sabatini and of course Voices From The Lake in recent times and we can add Phlox to that pile. The Scotsman’s collection of mesmerising and sometimes big-room techno productions is a perfect match for the Prologue aesthetic, pitched perfectly between moments of emotional ambience and “hypnotic monsters for the dance floor”. Look out for a new rendition of “Bauer”, which appeared on the Berghain 03 Mix CD and the Dino Sabatini collaboration “Survivors Of The Pulse”.

Dino Sabatini: “It has always been one of my dreams reunite the old group of friends I met in the basement of Rome and with whom I have begun the journey towards this adventure. Today I am very happy to present this work made in collaboration with one of my closest friends and with whom I shared for long time studios, music, ideas, techniques and the mutual love for a good Italian cuisine. I sincerely believe that Donato Dozzy does not need any introduction.”

Dino Sabatini – Shaman’s Path [PRGCD002]

Dino Sabatini is not just a Prologue artist having the first 12” release in our catalogue, he is also one of the most authentic Prologue artists who is responsible for providing the well known Prologue sound aesthetic. Dino´s productions always deliver exactly our vision of music; deep, hypnotic, atmospheric and mind-driven. It’s no surprise that we are more than proud to announce the third Prologue album this year, which comes from our high respected mate from Berlin. The album is called “Shaman’s Paths” and it is more than just an album for all of us. Dino´s Shaman’s Paths is his personal interpretation of the sounds of Africa, which provides since decades the basis of trance in order to loose your mind in sounds and drum arrangements and it is his personal interpretation of the Prologue sound aesthetic. The Album is planned for October 2012 and will be distributed over “WordandSound”. One part will be a CD mixed with all tracks, which simply is the Shaman’s Paths to follow. Further we will also have one 12” Vinyl which will contain the most club oriented hypnotic tracks from the Album and a complete digital album with all separate tracks. Dino is now available for bookings and his album tour.

SONS OF POSEIDON EP

The third release of Outis Music, “Sons of Poseidons EP”,  it’s a collaboration between label boss Dino Sabatini and Giorgio Gigli. “Proteus” it’s a solid, dynamic and linear track, with strong harmonic resonances and a slowly growing rhythmic in a hypnotic groove of atmospheres. “Nereus’ has deeper mental space sensations in which hypnotic noise sequences travel smoothly in a crescendo of acid riffs.
