Casey Tucker – Knoe 2/1 [KNOE2/1]

For Those That Knoe has dug a little deeper into the history books to unearth a somewhat understated gem in the form of Casey Tucker for the second chapter of For Those that Knoe. The mid nineties was a time when the sounds of Techno and House were being combined, new sub genres were emerging into clubs and DJs were forging their own unique take on dance floor electronic music. Some of the finest melodic Techno piece with glorious strings, sun drenched pads, liquid acid funk and sizzling hi hats, Some early acid rave sound and the purity of the early tech house sounds before digital audio workstations became favoured over their analogue counterparts.

LHAS – Knoe 1/1 [KNOE1/1]

For Those That Knoe: A new label from the UK focusing on under the radar tracks recorded by unsung heroes, ripped from dusty DATs and lovingly re-mastered and pressed onto vinyl for likeminded people and music collectors alike. Jaime Read as LHAS is one of the unsung heroes on the UK house scene, initially making house music brimming with Chicago jazz flavours and disco tendencies in the mid-90s. Deep from Jaime’s archives come three funk-filled melodic analogue jams, all with their own unique character yet still encapsulating Jaime’s individual take on Chicago jack.

Audio Atlas – Window 2 The World [MATH068LP]

Audio atlas with some deeper and trippy acid and techno tracks on Mathematics. Sometimes remeniscent of the early Fnac/Fcom days, sometimes going towards a early Chicago vibe. Nice one!

Interstellar Funk – House Train [RHVD010]

Tom Trago’s Voyage Direct series brings us another Amsterdam based talent. This time its the debut release of Interstellar Funk, who delivers the haunting and sleazy “House Train” which is backed up with a Makam remix. With its raw drums and deep bassline “House Train” sounds like an 80’s Chicago production, however the vocals give the track an unique timeless character and make you want to listen to the track over and over again. Oddly addictive. On the flip, Makam adds an extra drive to the track with its forward drums and synth lines.

Albert van Abbe – No Comment_008 [NOCOMMENT008]

Albert van Abbe is back full force on his own platform, No Comment. He presents two brutally deep originals, stoic and dustier then before, backed up with a Rudolf Klorzeiger remodel. Klorzeiger last appeared in ’99 as producer of Dopplereffekt’s Gesamtkunstwerk on Dataphysix Engineering…

Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff – The Transmission Express [CCRT003]

Since Jasper & Maarten played at one of the first ever-Concrete party’s called “Twsted II”, they knew this Parisian movement was something rare and unique. As an ode they made these tracks keeping in mind these magic early Sunday morning hours. The result is two melodic and atmospheric influenced tracks. Their brother in crime Makam is responsible for the remix. Machine soul techno music are the keywords of this Paris-Amsterdam affair.

Motuo – Rotation EP [WRR028]

https://i0.wp.com/images.junostatic.com/full/CS496135-01A-BIG.jpg

We are proud to present our first release with the talented techno-producer Motuo. Slick mixed beats and dreamy compressed strings on this 3-tracker, yet with an incredible punch in the drums. All jammed out on drum machines and cut up with spacey synth recordings and tight bass sequences. The futuristic vibes of the A-side flips us on our heads as the last track Rotation, with it’s full-on rhythm programming and flowing arrangement tells us a story of love for classic house, and that no one should forget their sources of inspiration.

Philippe Petit – Scrape EP [DMT002]

Scrape starts with a slow minimalistic acid bomb tones aimed to burn the dancefloor. Side B continues with Meltdown, a dub track where the chords slowly progress to their peaks, underlined by a heavy kickdrum. The E.P. finishes with Flotation, keeping  its core minimalistic concept, full of sub bass and high treble, reminiscing of early Hood or Mills.
