Mike Ash – Carbonic EP [ACID003]
Mike Ash with a 4 tracker on No Survivors! Recordings. The title track is body melting Sub Bass meets synapse smashing 303 ACID riffs that roll over and over you in waves as Mike tweaks the frequencies to perfection. This is real Electronic Music performed not programmed. Cascading acid lines, washes of stomping crashing 808 drums and a classic synth break with filtered twisted vocal echoing around your head. Aggressive drums pound you from the outset, heavy distorted 909 type drum sounds, Detroit influences are apparent in the choice of lush pads and dynamic filter sweeps wound together by a gurgling acid line pushing and twisting the sound your head. Definitely not a static affair with all the frequencies in flux. Tense British Techno with the sickest, heaviest square wave bass possible. A stomper with just a touch of the theme to 80’s TV series Knightrider about the nagging synth line underpinning the 303’s, The Hoff would be proud.
E.L.I. – Misery Inc. [DMS040]
Established during the UK’s lockdown, E.L.I. has been a means of escaping the monotony of a bleak situation. This new project of Mike Smith aka Crossover Network has been created for compositions only made with TR-707, TT-303, MS20, DX21 and a discordant voice. The result is a six-tracks EP between EBM, acid and dark electro : six crepuscular bangers for the body and the mind.
Bruxas – Muscle Memory [DKMNTL086]
Dutch psych-musicians Jacco Gardner and Nic Mauskovic create a new take on no-wave, post-disco with their debut LP as Bruxas, Muscle Memory. It’s their third work for the Dekmantel label, following up earlier EPs Mas Profundo (2017) and Sirocco (2018). Immersing themselves in a world of bohemian synth, the duo ex periment with vintage machines and cosmic effects, swimming in rhythmic grooves and psychedelic tones. It’s a style that reflects their respective musical backgrounds, and long partnership, one in which that has strengthened their collaborative, musical muscle memory.
Adrian Marth – Red Nights EP [WE012]
With this joint venture between Wrong Era and Italo Moderni, label boss Adrian Marth brings it on with a five track EP including two killer remixes from Fabrizio Mammarella and Geneva Jacuzzi. Expect nothing but harsh basslines and filthy drums from the Barcelona based producer. His love for the classic sounds of italo, space, and cosmic disco of the 80’s comes perfectly together on this release. Geneva gives ‘’Hypnotic Eyes’’ a synth driven vocal pop rework that will hypnotize you from the start. Fabrizio instead, gives Adrian’s track ‘’Disorder’’ a peak time heavy edged remix, that will not disappoint you.
Dino Sabatini – Mantis 06 [DSR/MTS06]
Dino Sabatini arrives on Delsin’s Mantis series with a charged, imposing statement of meditative techno. Sabatini has been at the forefront of the deep techno scene since the mid 00s, cultivating a sound with his own Outis Music which acknowledges the structures of club music while reaching beyond obvious drama and brute force, offering something more subliminal instead. On Mantis 06, Sabatini blurs the lines between organic and electronic percussion as he doubles down on steadfast rhythms executed with delicacy and impact in equal measure.
Shirazi & Jarno – Late Night Thoughts EP [FE002]
Fluid Electronics returns with a new collaborative EP courtesy of Dutch veteran Jarno, the man behind Trouw’s infamous Below evenings, and Fluid Electronics’ co-founder and owner Shirazi, back in full swing after a ten-year break from production. The EP features remixes from Amsterdam’s Love Over Entropy and seminal Rotterdam-based duo, Duplex.

RNXRX returns to VEYL for his debut album, ‘Impreciso’. No stranger to the label, the artist first made an appearance on ‘Previously Undisclosed Rituals’ and then again with ‘Sigil’, a collection of B-sides which act as the perfect prelude to this offering. Derived from an alchemy of inspiration, the album is the result of endless nights unearthing samples, vinyl oddities, effects databases from a bygone era and the artist’s own post-processed vocals – imprecise components which all combine perfectly to form this LP. Unconstrained by genre, ‘Impreciso’ journeys through strains of body music, psychedelic rock, soundtrack and more, delivering electronic experimentations which expose the artist’s darkest tendencies while revealing a long admiration of post-punk, hip hop and science fiction’s finest. Twelve tracks falling somewhere between homage and reinvention, ‘Impreciso’ operates with 80’s circuitry, throws back to 90’s beat nostalgia and drills into a cyber-verse for a familiar yet unexpected trip perfect for this moment.

Inspired by Ben Elton dark, savagely comic novel where he imagine a post-apocalyptic society where religious intolerance combines with a confessional sex obsessed, self-centric culture to create a world where nakedness is modesty, ignorance is wisdom and privacy is a dangerous perversion, Blind Faith aims to be a critique of post capitalist society and to redesign the idea and the relationship in the contemporary club. Two densely engraved sides for a total of 8 tracks ranging from EBM to techno, from electro to New Wave, all connected by raw rhythms, noise and distant voices.
