Frontmaschine is a french band created by Hérve and Louis. The alchemy of a father/son duo who experience with the ambiance, the sounds and the samples. Front 242 and D.A.F are their main influences. The music offered fluctuates from industrial to old school, and from German to English vocals. Dark sounds (sounds of the 80s), rhythmed by rustic sequences, electronic drum sounds and samples such as machines, radio communication or metals.
Angel’s Flight is the new album from highly-acclaimed producer and composer Biosphere. It features twelve tracks based on Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 14 that deftly tread the peripheries of classical and electronic composition. Much of the music was initially composed for Uncoordinated Dog, a dance production by the Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt in 2019 that explored the personal, the ambiguous, exposure and beauty – which gives you a sense of what the album holds.
Vril returns to Delsin with a cinematic ambient score. Backed with a remix pack of close friends featuring Voiski’s driving dub-techno, rattling breaks by His Master’s Voice and a thumping 808 electro take in collaboration with Marcel Dettmann.
Created in Brussels in 2015, Azmari is a weaving musical odyssey that expertly fuses ethiogroove, dub, psychfunk and eastern sounds. Azmari, literally “one who praises” in Amharic, is an Ethiopian singer-musician, comparable to the European bard or the West African griot often accompanied with a masenqo – one-stringed fiddle or krar – lyre, two traditional ethiopian instruments. The nine tracks that make up debut album ‘Sama’i’, released via Sdban UItra, is a deeply hypnotic experience where mesmerising rhythms and winding improvisations send the listener in to a higher state of consciousness. From the magical sax of album opener ‘Zegiyitwali’, to the dubby template of ‘Cosmic Masadani’ and joyous horns of ‘Kugler’, Azmari seamlessly blend African and oriental melodies with effortless precision, providing a fresh take on the ethiojazz sound. Elsewhere, the heavy, rhythmic sounds of ‘Tariq Al Sahara’ and the mystical and cosmological ‘Azalai’ continue our sacred journey full of raging saxes and wig-out percussion, while the free-spirited, trippy ‘Kadikoy’ coming in at nine minutes in duration, lends a trance-like quality to proceedings where psychedelic jazz meets afro-funk.

Undersound is very happy to present a new EP by London-based producer Sohrab. This EP showcases his wide ranging influences, with a diverse sound palette, while demonstrating his already-established personal aesthetic. The EP opens with “The Fool”, a steady four-to-the-floor track with esoteric eastern-tinged melodies, and continues with “Vertical Alignment”, a bassline-led emotional trip with interlocking evolving harmonies. The flip offers two contrasting moods: the rougher “Resolution”, a fast-paced late-night burner, and “Digital Bliss”, whose soothing synths evoke old school Goa vibes.

Alleviated Records presents the first release sharing selections from their own Archive of recordings that either have never been issued or that have never been issued on the Alleviated imprint. First up, is “Chains”, a track that features Ron Wilson free-styling vocals to a deep-house vibe. Next up is ”Electronic Debris” delivering a ”mellow-deep” vibe. Then, ”Saspence” with, as the title implies, a ”mysterious-deep-minimal house” feel. Concluding the EP is ”Nyte Light” delivering a ”deep-ambient-acid” flavor.
