Chicago Damn present their first release on the new label. “Let’s Submerge” is an strobelit warehouse tackle, shot through with the futuristic spirit of first-wave Detroit Techno and the pared down pulse of Chicago. Max Essa turns out a killer remix on the flipside, perfectly escorting the irresistible groove to a more organic destination. “I Cry” is somewhere between the house experiments and the warm, analogue sonics of UK electronic music, but captures the modern deep House revolution perfectly.

‘One Night Stand’ Is Jam Factory’s third release; a collaboration with New York-based vocalist Mattie Safer (formally of The Rapture) over two 12”s. This first 12” features the original version – a piano-driven Chicago style anthem with heavy drums and a touch of acid. Mattie delivers a classic house performance in his own instantly recognisable style. On the flip are two different dubs, one an incessant barrage of piano’s, the other a thick slice of acid.

Gunnar Wendel, the producer best known for his work under the Kassem Mosse moniker debuts the Seltene Erden pseudonym, with the four tracks here lavishly deep explorations. The shimmering slo-mo dub of “Northen Rae” gets things on the A-Side to a stunning start, complemented by the crackly ambience of “Bayan Obo”. Flip over for the Theo-esque rhythms of “Kvanefjeld” and perhaps the most breathtaking of the lot – the intensely relaxing, beatless soundscape of “Hoidas Lake”.

B-side finds a more muscular House groove powered by chunky Toms and seductive chords corralled with an unmistakable expertise, and tips out to a down-slow Boogie soul joint in his deeply charming style.
