Delano Smith – Light Shades Of Detroit [SUSHP0136]

Cover art - Delano Smith: Light Shades Of Detroit

Jam Factory – One Night Stand EP 2 [JM003.2]

disc

‘One Night Stand’ Is Jam Factory’s third release; a collaboration with New York-based vocalist Mattie Safer (formally of The Rapture) over two 12”s. This first 12” features the original version – a piano-driven Chicago style anthem with heavy drums and a touch of acid. Mattie delivers a classic house performance in his own instantly recognisable style. On the flip are two different dubs, one an incessant barrage of piano’s, the other a thick slice of acid.

Seltene Erden – Northern Rae [MULEELECTRONIC079]

Gunnar Wendel, the producer best known for his work under the Kassem Mosse moniker debuts the Seltene Erden pseudonym, with the four tracks here lavishly deep explorations. The shimmering slo-mo dub of “Northen Rae” gets things on the A-Side to a stunning start, complemented by the crackly ambience of “Bayan Obo”. Flip over for the Theo-esque rhythms of “Kvanefjeld” and perhaps the most breathtaking of the lot – the intensely relaxing, beatless soundscape of “Hoidas Lake”.

Sotto Marino” takes on a long ride and is reminiscent to the early 90s beautiful ecstastic italo house music vibe we love so much, while “Black Box” pays tribute to the real black funk at the now legendary Friday Fever Black Box party at club Suono in Ferrara. This EP is a tribute to our special friends at Slam Jam, to the maestro Enrico Crivellaro and to our extended music&party family in Italy

Move D – Workshop 13 [WORKSHOP013]

Cover art - Move D: Workshop 13

New release from Move D on Workshop. The A-side is a insinctively jazzy number he specialises in, working in a distinct Afro-rhythmic lilt with bobbling marimba-like patterns around sensually tingling strings and light-headed guitar licks. B-side finds a more muscular House groove powered by chunky Toms and seductive chords corralled with an unmistakable expertise, and tips out to a down-slow Boogie soul joint in his deeply charming style.
