VA – Warehouse Sessions Vol. 3 [DL007]
DeepLabs is a Detroit based record label run by Luke Hess focusing on Detroit influenced techno for the dance-floor and in return building a strong community of likeminded artists. The third installment of the Warehouse Sessions Series highlights four artists: Deep’a & Biri, Jeff Hess, Hiver, and Mor Elian. Each track gives the listener and DJ a deeper understanding of the soul, character, and quality of each of these artists. Enjoy the music and play it loud.

German Techno veteran Savas Pascalidis makes his debut on Be As One. With “Fading Lights EP” Savas explores shades of modern Techno while retaining his trademark classic sound throughout the 4 tracks, delivering a perfect fit between the German talented producer and the label’s exciting catalogue.
Mattias Fridell – Farsot EP [DSTRT002]
For the labels second release District 66 teams up with Swedens Mattias Fridell. Fridell delivers two energetic and jacking tracks in his well known signature. The B-side features a straight up-tempo remix prom Progression UK.
VA – Five III [NON025III]
Non Series will reach its fifth anniversary and to celebrate the Spanish label will be releasing a compilation series. Tadeo successfully opens the third and closing part of the compilation with a very strong cut, followed by Eduardo De La Calle’s sophisticated sound, the mesmerising groove of the UK producer Mark Broom and at last, the haunting jams from Aiken.
Karim Sahraoui – Alpha & Omega EP [ARTSTRANSPARENT008]
The Master is back, not many words needed to introduce one of the biggest pioneers of Deep & Emotional Electronic Music. Karim Sahraoui play on a league of his own, this is the second release of many to come.
Population One – Detroit City At Night EP [M045]
Population One delivers a stripped down auditory urban narrative full of the city’s industrial internal conversations. Haunting, compelling and raw; looming in the darkness.
Hiver – Soundescence [CURLE058]
The dynamic duo Hiver return to the Belgium imprint, Curle Recordings, with their latest EP, entitled ‘Soundescence’. This excellent four-track offering is the Italian pairing’s third EP on Curle. Kicking off the release is the title-named track, ‘Soundescence’, displaying the melodic, psychedelic sound Hiver has been praised for previously. Delicate synth patterns perfectly bled with the understated drums and percussive elements. This ethereal approach to Techno continues on the following deep-groover, ‘One More Snooze’. The B-side opener, ‘Phonotis’, immediately breaks the silence with a steady 4/4 rhythm, seeing a squelchy synth bassline, warm pads and floating atmospheric textures scattered throughout the six-minute number. Closing the EP is ‘Floor Diving’, which once again showcase Hiver’s sleek and seductive style of dance music that is made for the dark, underground clubs of Europe and beyond.

A fusion of intricately textured techno and electro, combined with lush ethereal soundscapes transport the listener to a far away and otherworldly dimension. Futuristic Hi-Tech electro and techno from a producer of the purist form.

The second imprint of Another Earth is upon us and this time it’s all about proper Detroit techno combined with distorted left wing machine house. The label combines 2 acts together in a Split EP series which compliment each others sound. For the A-side Plural created 2 essential Detroit techno tracks. The A1 is a warm uplifting peak time bomb and the A2 has a darker vibe concentrated on the groove. The B-side hosts 2 tracks from the intriguing mind of Hakim Murphy. The B1 is a heavy distorted peak time house banger while the B2 is quite the opposite, deep and obscure.
Nicola Kazimir – Liber Al Vel Legis EP [USR003]
This EP represents a further manifestation of sound-expression over sound-design. Each track has it’s own characteristics. It’s a symbiotic EP which combines vintage analogue gear with live digital effects; everything is done in a moment – manipulating things that you can’t calculate but feel.
