Induced with hopelessness by power structures from the future, Black Dot lands on Mechatronica White with a deep rooted urge to wrestle institutions, soak in isolation and escape into the cosmos. Backed by an all consuming Cardopusher remix. Black Dot is a collaborative effort by Christian Kroupa and Le Chocolat Noir.
Futuristic electronics by Niels Luinenburg (Delta Funktionen) under his new guise Immediate Proximity – in collab with Diana Napirelly. Ambient, Bass, Electro and Techno are the main identifiers for their output. Deep and emotive is the mood, but at the same time the music is playful and has a robust and confident character. This distinct direction, which was laid-out on the pair’s debut LP ‘2334’, has now led to the start of their own label: IMPROX. On IMPROX, the duo experiments vivaciously with color, rhythm, space and tempo. Hi-tech, yet tribalistic rhythms are interlaced with elusive sci-fi themes. Big stage anthems are comfortably combined with cinematic ambient excursions. And through self engineered audio-gen modules, backed by a stark focus on sound design, the IMPROX series marks a powerful upgrade to Luinenburg’s production capabilities.
Fashion Flesh aka John Talaga from Bay City, Michigan, is known for his “off the grid” approach to music. Most all of the instruments used to perform and produce are self-built electronics, oscillators, generators, sound toys, and modulators. Those that are not built from one’s own design are heavily modified beyond audible recognition or return. No sampling/stolen sound is ever used or sucked from outside pre-existing sources. No laptops, instead tape manipulation and hard copy cut-ups…analog devices that are built for specific purpose and dis-purpose. “Rubber Mountain” is his first full LP, 6 tracks of mutant mayhem on The Black Lodge label, spanning from odd italo-disco flavors, to no-wave, post-punk, jakbeat, and experimental sounds from the beyond. Equally for the dancefloor and home listening, this record has it all.
Master of the Polish underground, Chino returns to the Pinkman umbrella with a new solo EP on the Mindri sublabel. Following on from his 2021 debut as one half of Radiation 30376, Chino turns up the dystopian dancefloor energy with a 4-tracker of dread-laden apocalyptic funk. A relentless drive of twisted arps weaving their way through thunderous drums, the crazed tension builds and builds and doesn’t let up from start to finish. The perfect soundtrack to an ill-fated cinematic getaway drive that leaves you with only one final conclusion: there is no escape.
For the 7th installment of their split-series, Dalmata Daniel welcomes both Roberto Auser for his sophomore contribution to the label, as well as a fresh addition to the catalogue: Cestrian, aka Ali Renault.
Futuristic electro by Gerald Donald (Dopplereffekt, Drexciya) and Beta Evers, originally released on Weme in 2011. This version includes a previously unreleased track.

Tresor Records reissue the sole output from Shifted Phases entitled “The Cosmic Memoirs Of The Late Great Rupert J. Rosinthrope”. Initially released in 2002, soon after James Stinson passed away, this LP plays a mysterious and compelling role in the Drexciya journey. While other records of Drexciya and related projects have received numerous reprints and editions, The Cosmic Memoirs… has remained out of print since its release. This rarity leaves it more open to interpretation with its place in the Drexciyan storm series, as it became increasingly hard to find and underexplored. This reissue does not merely close the loop on Tresor’s reissue series of the Drexciya catalogue but brings Shifted Phases to fresh ears more than other records.
NOUN welcomes the UK-based veteran, Richard Brook. He opens the EP with “Caldera V” an emotional breaky workout with an acidic switch halfway through. The unpredictable rhythms and contrasting melodic elements are reminiscent of the golden Sheffield days. On the flip-side “Skaros” is a straight acidic workout with sinister overtones and a steady groove that will keep the dancer glued to the floor at all times of the night.
“The MidiVerb Chalice” is a new, entrancing mini-album poured out from the mind and soul of Danny Wolfers. Here he commands an arsenal of synthesizers and sound artifacts to guide us through the halls of a feverish supernatural rave, weaving together spellbinding sounds and hexing the hordes of EDM. Do you care to sip from the Chalice of MidiVerb? Awaiting you on the other side is a world of kaleidoscopic and hypnotizing techno with an esoteric soul. It only takes a small dose of Danny Wolfer’s concoctions to induce a state of total entrancement.
The UK Electro duo Transparent Sound reissue the infamous Slang City EP. Long before electro returned to prominence Transparent Sound were serving up world class must-check slabs of body-popping electronic brilliance.
Francois Dillinger brings his futuristic visions to this classy new EP on EC Underground. It finds the sonic sculptor kick off with a warped bassline underpinning an eerie and slow motion electro cut on The Pilgrimage. Tangential is another snaking rhythm with mysterious pads and bouncing bass that makes for a truly original vibe. ‘Message Failed To Send’ has a hint of Kraftwerk retro-ism to its snappy snares and talk box vocals then ‘When It Was Free’ classes down with a gritty mix of celestial charm and deep space unknown. These are next level sonics as always from Dillinger.

030303 Records presents the fifth Various artist compilation, featuring a variety of acid sounds that transcend the boundaries of genres. Sounds inspired by Chicago, West coast The Hague, Malta acid and/or Cornwall UK. Caramel Chameleon kicks off with an epic cut, one that will appeal to fans of Roy of the Ravers. Perseus Traxx, Raving Kid and RAG aka Steven Brunsmann follow suit with acid on a deeper tip, with the latter adding a heavenly soulful touch to it. And how great it is to see American producer Korre return to the label with a wonderfully spaced out introspective cut. Also standing out is Endfest’s heavy electro/acid take on one of the most obscure mysteries ever to come out of Detroit: Shari Vari. Dwaalgast & De Beer Uit Allekmaar aka Cosmic Force deliver the last track before the lights go on – the aptly named A Wave Goodbye has a distinctive, bouncy westcoast-sound-of-Holland feel to it.
Fundamentalist electro-techno. On this release we see Detroit’s Ultradyne continue with the approach of their Ultradyne concept: ideas and their evolution. Five diverse songs showcasing their concept into reality. Each song with an identity of its own cultivating what already exists inside of each listener: the need for expression and relation.
Beyond ecstatic to finally offer a glimpse into the world of Voertuig. Working on music for several years, purely for themselves in sheds and studios tucked away in the outskirts of The Hague, Tonal Oceans presents an album by the four piece act containing music embodying the true spirit of the city.
