Versalife returns to his home base Transcendent with four iconic electro space trips. The Transcendent imprint, run by Boris Bunnik himself, is the deep sea playground for for all sorts of experimentation by the prolific Dutch producer. Having released there as Conforce, Hexagon and Silent Harbour before, this four track EP as Versalife is another thoughtful addition to the catalogue. A well varied package of dancefloor friendly atmospheric electro drifters.

With strong ties to the MinimalRome label, former duo and now solo project of Gianluca Bertasi aka Teslasonic arrives on Nocta Numerica. Teslasonic here throws down a gauntlett of highly electrified club and acid tracks that touch on Electro as much as they do Techno and underground rave. With obscure melodies making it into tracks like “Obsex”, retroactive ’80s Synth themes make their way into “Nemesis” with more solid acid tracks coming from “The Game Is Out There” and “The Network”. Look to this EP’s title-track for something bright and shiny with “Arp Island” injecting a vision of hope and positivity into a genre that regularly plays on themes of decay and dystopia.

Delsin dives deeper in the Dutch techno archives once more by re-masterering, re-cutting and re-releasing Ballet Mechanique’s Embody EP. A keystone release containing four tracks of tough, yet emotive electro jams, sounding fresh till the date of today. Originally released in 1996 on Eevo Lute Muzique and definitely one of the highlights when it comes to pure futuristic techno soul. The Embody EP from Jeroen Borrenbergs aka Ballet Mechanique and Eevo’s in-house graphic designer at that time made his first public work on one of the most influential techno labels from the Netherlands.

Rotterdamn’s ever prolific DJ Overdose delivers his first full length for L.I.E.S., “Emulator Amour”. The well seasoned electro veteran gives us a 13 track master class workout in the genre, exploring all ends and styles. From the classic cowbell electro of “Razor”, to the West Coast boogie of “Bow to the Devourer” or the icy electro bass of “Turns Out Eddy Has No Friends” Overdose leaves no stone unturned. One of the artists most complete works in his vast catalog which ties all his influences together and presents them in true Overdose form. Not to be missed. A true classic from a Dutch master.

Giorgio Records presents the first official reissue of the experimental project GAG, from 1983, which includes two very different songs. Flyin’ Bolero is spacey and hypnotic while P.T. Dance is lively, and perfect for disco nights. Unknown and obscure, these two tracks are cataloged as Italo Disco tracks but go further. As always, Giorgio Records enriches the reissue with two remixes. Flyin’ Bolero has been entrusted to Armonics, Bari producer and great artist. P.T. Dance to Kid Machine.

214 aka Chris Roman is highly regarded as one the most innovative electro producers on the planet following releases on esteemed labels including; Cultivated Electronics, Frustrated Funk, CPU, Klakson and Lunar Disko. ‘Exposure to Winds’ sees 214 return to the 20/20 Vision fold with his first full length album release in 5 years. ‘Exposure to Winds’ was inspired by Roman’s love of the mountains that surround his native Washington State, living in North Bend where David Lynch’s masterpiece ‘Twin peaks’ was filmed. It could be no co-incidence that 214 produces other worldly electronic music that always sounds out of the ordinary. This expertly balanced eight track vinyl release features a selection of styles and tempos from the laid back electro funk grooves ‘Tongue Twister’ and ‘Ball of Straw’ to dark room wobblers like ‘Quick Start’ and ‘The Night’s Shift’. AIt’s a record that will live long in the boxes and crates of discerning DJ’s but also provides an auditory adventure for the listener.

Exit Planet Earth – Hydrogen opens with no-nonsense electro from a master of the trade Sync 24 from Cultivated Electronics. ‘The Rising’ is an expertly produced bass heavy heater that is crying out to be played on a big rig. Representing Athe Melbourne chapter of the Lizard Tech Militia Reptant teams up with Dashiell for a mutant hybrid electro funk cut – ‘Gortexia’. On the flip Moroccan heavy hitter Kosh returns to 20/20 Vision following his debut EPl ‘Vicious Love’. Kosh offers up an intoxicating blend of deep melodic electro called ‘Chaos in the City’. Wrapping the release up is James Shinra returning after his killer ‘On & On’ EP. Shinra rounds up this edition with an outstanding, unique composition ‘Launch’ that balances trademark melodies with a truly devastating distorted kick heavy reminiscent of classic Aphex Twin.
