M>O>S Recordings welcomes a new talent to the label in the form of Chilean Massiande. ‘Stand’ will be his first release since a 2013 EP on Housewax and is a four track affair that explores cloudy, atmospheric house with plenty of panache and flair. First up, the title track is a raw house kicker with rubbery basslines, frazzled machine lines and muted voices all making for a spaced out and slightly acid vibe. The Future (Is Now) is another mid tempo cut, this time with loud dramatic chords and strings in the mix dominating a Chicago referencing bottom end. It’s strong reflection character then makes way for That Feeling, with its rolling bass, icy hi hats and subtle Larry Heard style melodies that really transport you to another galaxy. Lastly, Get House closes out an emotional EP with far gazing pads, airy percussion and the sort of drums that just make you want to shake your limbs. Classic from start to finish, this EP is sure to win Massiande many new fans.

Tight remix set from the M>O>S camp. After delivering his standout debut full length Sketches on M>O>S Recordings earlier it the year, Aroy Dee now gets the remix treatment. The fine talents carefully chosen by Aroy Dee because their music inspired him, R-A-G, D’Marc Cantu, Paul du Lac and Cliff Lothar revisit three different cuts from his album and serve up compelling results.

“I cant even afford bed linen, let alone a 909”. The unpretentious of Jay Donaldson is disarming in many different ways. Words of the label: ”We consider Donaldson aka Palms Trax to be one of the most promising new artists to date. His sound situates him firmly along the Chicago-Detroit axis, cooking up pad-driven jams, off kilter drums and hazy synths that shift like a gentle musical tide. In 2013 he inaugurated the Lobster Theremin label, the London-based imprint that quickly became one of the most talked about record labels around. When not travelling the world for prime-time gigs Donaldson holds a residency at the widely respected Berlin Community Radio. It’s with great pleasure that we welcome golden boy Palms Trax to Dekmantel Records.”

Live At Robert Johnson presents a second Lifesaver compilation. The label is calling the eight-track collection, which arrives two years on from the first instalment, “another episode of togetherness.” It presents music from the LARJ roster, with Roman Flügel, Portable, Orson Wells, Massimiliano Pagliara, Lauer, TCB and Benedikt Frey all chipping in with a track each.

Epic, tense, and driving Russom goes for the throat crafting beautifully produced functional club tracks that teeter on the edge of the deepest psychedelic realm. With hints of many different electronic strains creeping into his productions, we get the full specturm and see this talented producer doing some of his best work in recent times, the hidden gem being the b-side’s closing track, The Telstar File.

Raw Tools returns with four powerful tracks from the vaults of talented Scottish producer Stephen Lopkin. Chicago flavored beats and acid driven grooves bolted onto Detroit rhythms and swirling pads of analog goodness.

Jon Beall finally follows up “La Caccia” with an even deeper and more diverse record. Great versatile release touching deeply rooted techno, bass, house and electronix. Another winner on WT Records.

Photonz, Portugese producer based in London Marco Rodriguez, makes his debut on Creme Organization. His first cut, ‘Gnosis Of Wolfers’ is a raw, knackered sounding house track with glassy melodic tension and slow-jack drums. It’s intense, multi-layered and nervy and keeps you engaged from start to finish. ‘Ceremonial Acid’ is then an airy, spacious affair with heavenly pads and gurgling synths and drums. Loose but atmospheric, it’s a fulsome track that really places you in the middle of Photonz’s sound world. ‘Sad Mania’ is another misty sounding cut with watery droplets, aqueous textures and ramshackle drums rattling below, before ‘Filterhatz’ is a slow and sludgy acid offering with sharp hi hats, filtered 303 lines and lots of wobble. Lastly, digital only track ‘Basik’ rounds out the EP in brooding fashion, with big retro synths, percolating drums and pinging percussion.

First solo EP by Interstellar Funk on Tape Records. Driving sinister tracks giving you an eerie sensation of spaciousness supported by subtle melodylines bubbling up and touching you right where it matters.

The next release on The Invariants contains three edits of tracks from the deep. The a side contains a Chicago leaning version of middle eastern esotherics and a more techno dub version of the same track. On the flip are black metal synths combined with 90s strings in a live jam recorded slightly in the red.

The Black Electro Orchestra is an alias of Tevo Howard that was originally meant to be used as a template for other artists to take and use, rearrange, rework, and reiterate.. Respectively, after a first eclectic album, the alias took on the identity of cover songs reiterated as Chicago House and Chicago Electro House tracks.. This album titled Cosmopolitan 1987 does consist of that, 12 covers from classic electronic compositions that paved roads in the 1980s and set the path for electronic composers today….

The second in the Caribbean reissue series comes this time from Trinidad with an electro-sample Jam for all intents and purposes. The super rare Robot Jam by singer song writing duo Carl and Carol Jacobs is presented in 2 parts and comes with a very special remix via the esteemed Nick The Record, here teaming up with Dan Idjut for a dub-electro work out.

The mysterious EROS return with the ‘X’ series, an altogether more strobe-lit and full-tilt take on the glorious Disco supernova from whence we all came.
