VA – Network EP [ANDERTRAXX002]
Ander-Traxx is back with more supremely crafted tracks from label head Alex-Ander. This E.P definitely has a strong low-end swing to it, and there’s a subtle rawness gathering in the heart of all the productions here. This is probably best exemplified in the tough soul of Borrowed Identity’s “Reflection”: reminiscent of some of the less aggressive U.R cuts of the past. In fact, all the original tracks presented here have that elusive touch, one that is actually rather hard to convey in writing. “Broken Tape” by Alex-Ander is a leisure-pace stomper worthy of the Fit catalogue, that gives us one of the most syrupy basslines we’ve heard around these parts in a while Slowburn’s “Dermopad” brings abstract elements to a righteous groove: well-implemented Chicago/Detroit influences, unafraid to introduce new sound palettes to a heavily aped style. For remix duties, main man Meschi returns after his appearance on Ander-Traxx 001, putting his solid sound signature on “Broken Tape”, showing us once again his deft talent for structure and ability to tickle the ivories.
Phon.o – Schn33 / Go [50WEAPONS027]
Genre bender Phon.o finds new perfection in merging UK bass music with techno, garage and even house music. Not in a wild mash-up kind of way, but very organic and natural sounding. ‘Schn33’ is a guaranteed floor filler for all kinds of dance music Djs. No matter where, no matter when, no matter what mixed with, this is an anthem! Perfectly supplemented with a strong B-Side, this might be the strongest Phon.o single yet.

These mediums are put to expert usage on the label’s first release, Angels Against Dust, which pairs up two of electronic music’s singular personalities in Legowelt and Willie Burns. Each side sees one production from each producer with Legowelt’s penchant for woozy melodic hooks, rippling percussion and aqautic techno complemented well by Burns’ more meditative, hypnosis inducing arrangements.

No remixes have been commissioned on “Vision Of Love”, but KMS is very lucky and very happy to announce that none other than Carl Craig himself, has graciously submitted a ‘c2 Edit’ and a ‘c2 Bonus Edit’, to make this a very special release indeed.
Sabre – Bali / Ging [NUDES002]
Hailing from the bairros of Lisbon, the Portugese duo Sabre take the helm of Tasteful Nudes’ second single. The young pair follow up an EP for W.T. Records by expressing adoration for German proto-techno on a majestic scale across a sub-tropical backdrop. “Bali” comes on like a strong cup of psychedelic tea, leaping from a tapestry of gamelan plucks to gigantic, growling bass lines and prismatic synth arpeggios. “Going” channels Manuel Gˆttsching’s hypnotic synth lines with the dance floor in mind, rubbing shoulders with a gregarious 303 bass line.
