Sepalcure follow up last year’s critically acclaimed LP on Hotflush Recordings with a new EP featuring remixes from Kevin McPhee and Trevino (a.k.a. Marcus Intalex), alongside one previously released album cut and one original track. ‘Eternally Yrs’, originally featured on the LP, makes another appearance on side A, followed up by Trevino’s (Intalex’s moniker for his techno and house projects) upbeat and melodic remix of ‘Hold On’. On the flip, Toronto rising star McPhee turns the classic house sounds of ‘The One’ into a crackly, technodriven subbass tune. Finally, the emotive ‘Don’t Cry’ hits hard with the trademark staccato bass and processed vocals that Sepalcure have come to be known for.

Bernadott, the Roof of Love EP showcases the talent of two underground producers hailing from Paris and Stockholm, two diggers of the highest order, immersed in musique concrete, italo, free jazz, punk, chicago house and such, two DJs devoted to tension, hips and shoulders. With upcoming releases on high profile labels, The Golem proudly takes them to the forefront first, unleashing their highly original and leftfield take on the dancefloor. On Side A, Bernadott turns a white funk forgotten gem, expands it before turning it into a gherkin-esque acid burner with unexpected nods to juke, subtly returning to its post punk roots before you even notice. On side B, another post punk affair autistically turned into a dubby madchester piano choon, a quasi absurd but groovy breezy love song. And last but not least, this new episod ends with ”You Dance So Well”, a real floor filler cosmic/synth wave hyptnotic track sung in german.

Lakaband is back, this time for a symbiotic EP with Automatic Tasty. The Automatic Tasty’s anemone mix is a spirited and vigorous take on the acidulated languor of the original Clownfish, Lakaband’s smooth track, and the bouncy effervescence of the Irish mogul’s Morning Again meets the casual nonchalance of Lakaband’s track Protandry. With all tracks having been under the well advised mastering supervision of Alden Tyrell, and coming in a pretty limited number of copies, this release will be a nice addition to your collection.

Jonny Dillon is gracing WR with a brand new full length album as Automatic Tasty! “Speech and Silence” is a 10 track album loaded with bouncy acid hooks and bubbling hyper-color melodies.

Moments in Rhythm vol 3. was inspired by an in-depth conversation that questioned the level of importance that today’s society does or does not value it’s critical art forms, most specifically music … the universal language, as a means of free expression. From this passionate discussion spawned the composition of an opened ended letter, written in 4/4 format that captures and shares the passion of this conversation, and ultimately asks some questions such as … Is It In You?

Don’t Be Afraid present Spargel Trax, a two part series of vinyl-only, colored, hand-stamped 12″s designed to celebrate the dual themes of great seasonal music and great seasonal Spargel. The second part includes tracks from James Duncan, Untitled-W, Freeman and Melvin Elephant 303.

The fifth release from the mysterious Italojohnson on the producer’s eponymous label breaks with the established mould in some respects, downsizing proceedings to a double A Side 10inch which comes replete with a hand stamped Italojohnson logo. The music however, is still resolutely focused on the signature Italojohnson sound both tracks untitled and demonstrated an uncanny mastery of solid basslines, sharp and well judged drumming, deft vocal edits and mind bending FX. The A Side adopts more of a DJ Tool poise, with its groove led by that swooping bass line whilst the flip shows Italojohnson equal ease for crafting a proper house track. There’s even an Italojohnson sticker for the real fans

Marco Bernardi is back on Clone Royal Oak with a beautiful three track ep! Tracks that are a nice blend of his roots in Glasgow and Detroit techno stirred into a nice personal outing that show his talents. The Ep features slowly building tracks that keep the tension high with Bernardi’s trademark melodies layered over basic house rhythms with a raw edge.

Two eighties recordings which were taken from reel and have been remastered and made available for your pleasure. ‘Boxbeater’ especially is a track that was inspired by the slam dancers who used to go wild on the rhythm tracks Ron Hardy used to play at the Music Box. ‘Warm’ is a deeper, yet fierce, house cut, which was inspired on early ‘Rhythim Is Rhythim material.

Okain makes a welcome return to Tsuba with the O’Clock EP. The Original and No String Dub show a deeper side to Okain centering around classic house strings and bassline. Gerd is providing a remix.

A brand new 12” filled with some very introspective and deep tracks, of what we consider simply pure & honest house music! With a slight techno feel that is by the mysterious French producer RTX.

Delusions of Grandeur presents ‘The Haunted House Of House’ the debut album by Session Victim. Opening track Dark Sienna sets the mood and serves as a good taster of what you can expect from their highly accomplished debut. We’re talking looped up deep-disco territory here with a lovely mid-tempo rolling groove driven along by open hats and a square wave bassline, lush string sections and dubbed vocal hits all adding heat to the mix.

Musical mysteries from Macedonia are what Herzel and Genoveva bring us on this special Other Heights-project. Unity and eclecticism are melted together in one empowering EP, which is sealed with a remix by Alveol.

William Kouam Djoko’s debut on Hursh Hour Voyage Direct. With this new release by the The Hague native, the label continues to release Dutch only artists. William delivers some late night house goodies here. The title track is a pulsating and hypnotic track that leads with a repetitive ‘We Are Your Brothers & Sisters’ vocal before diving into an epic organ and drum break. ‘Enforce YS’ is a deeper, warmer synth track that really gets under your skin after a few listens.

Final 12″ in the series with the mighty Redshape killing it one side and Fudge Fingers ending it all on a very positive note. Redshape’s Flexx is continuing that tradition of quality outputs, being a mid-tempo house-fused techno jam for club heads alike, while Fudge Fingas’ Light My Life is a some subtle yet powerful string-inflected downtempo house track.
