Tony Price – IBM Contra LP [LIES177]
Prolific and often nomadic label boss, producer, and studio engineer, Tony Price (Maximum Exposure) has been making a name for himself over these last years, as he’s lurked in the shadows while moving from city to city around the world, leaving a unique and wide-spanning musical mark in his wake. On his 14 track IBM-CONTRA LP, Price conjures up a wild melange of free jazz and high speed electro funk next that sits next to dusty ambient, street tough house, and even Bill Conti-esque dark alley rainy street jams featuring saxophone work from Alex Zhang Hungtai and Colin Fisher. The album is unmistakably Tony at his best, as he weaves in and out of these genres making them make sense next to each other. Whether it’s providing a shady saxophone driven backdrop for the next inevitable worldwide bio-warfare crisis or tapping into the roots of stripped down classic electro and house for the floor, this is the artist at peak creativity flexing his skills.
Sarmiento – El Absurdo [DISI001]
For its first release, Colombian label Disidencia Records welcomes Sarmiento with his EP “El Absurdo”. Four tracks that navigate through the realms of electro, techno, EBM and breaks. 100% synthesiser sounds blending powerful beats with brief Spanish lyrics that question some of the reality of South-American society and its politics. This and all future Disidencia releases contain not only music but also a dedicated visual piece by different street-artists and muralists.
Voiski – The End Of Fiction EP [150DSR]
Delsin marks its milestone 150th release in a rainstorm of gorgeous arps with a full EP from Voiski. For Luc Kheradmand it’s a return to the label which carried his 2020 collaboration with Wata Igarashi and where he issued early single Breaths Written Outside Gloom. For Delsin it’s the perfect way to sum up different dimensions of the label’s identity – richly melodic, machine-powered and yet distinct from any illusion of a typical ‘Delsin sound’.

Lisbon’s Paraiso bring their A&R a-game once again with a stellar EP by one of the city’s most beloved techno DJs – VIL – and a chef’s kiss remix by the one and only queen of twisted dance, EDND from Algarve.

LB aka Labat – Skincare [SCDD027]
French dynamo LB aka Labat returns for his second EP on Steel City Dance Discs. The Lyon-based artist delivers another collection of eclectic productions, displaying his trademark ability to source and integrate individuality and soul. Skincare’s title track of the same name is a pure house throwback featuring Labat’s trademark punchy 808’s, swirling synths and hypnotic vocal line guaranteed to have you moving on any dancefloor.

Rene Wise returns to the SK11X series, with 4 cuts of finely crafted techno. Unrelenting grooves and a deeper look into his unique sound design flair, these tracks are timeless in sound and production quality.
Ruhig – Metaverse [MOFF011]
Monday Off label is back to techno’s shadowy depths; where the music’s subtle dynamics unfurl in intensely cerebral and psychedelic ways.Semantica artist Ruhig returns to MOFF with a four track release of hypnotic soundscapes. MOFF favourite Claudio PRC reworks Numerical Analysis into a groove-centric banger that ebbs and flows with mesmerizing precision while also being infectiously danceable.
Rudolf Abramov – Paracetamol / Clonex [HNR045]
Rudolf Abramov is taking a step in a different direction from his last release on Höga Nord Rekords. This 7” contains the works of deep mining in an old hard drive during the introversion of the pandemic quarantine. These two gems have been going under a bit of tasteful polishing before reaching the point of release and the result is a punk meets Stoner rock experience propelled by hard sequencers and drum machines.

Berlin-based label Burial Soil presents a collaborative electro album initiated by CYRK. Early 2020, they decided to reach out to some of their producer friends as well as artists they’ve been admiring for years, to collaborate on tracks. As they see it, the electro scene is a very close-knit community and it felt more than appropriate to support each other this way. For their album „Freundschaft“ CYRK has collaborated with Steffi, Anthony Rother, Ravn Jonassen, JakoJako, Jensen Interceptor, Alienata, Nite Fleit and David Carretta. BPMs are high on the eight tracks of “Freundschaft”, the end result of this collaborative process, incorporating various influences from electro-adjacent styles like italo, EBM or, unsurprisingly, techno.

Mark Du Mosch is a master of electronics. Gracing a glut of labels in a career spanning more than a decade, he arrives at Schrödinger’s Box with a very special release. Presence is a fiver tracker of enviable quality. Set in the canon of warm techno, Du Mosch focuses on melody and texture. “Studio M Uno” is bright and unassuming, “Koriander” both assured and fragile. The tracks on offer feel like the musical accompaniment to a Summer’s day, a time where cares are in the present and future worries do not exist. The unseen complexities of the everyday are an audio focus, the intertwined interplay of drum patterns in “Mrk I Utilities” and the mechanical dawn of the title piece throb with a human pulse. Always present, but never imposed, is the techno composition that brought this dutchman to the attention of so many. This is plain to hear in the diverse threads that are collected to produce the rich and varied closer, “Too Much.”

AVIVX is a young and talented queer DJ & producer from Kazakhstan, now living in Tbilisi where he has several DJ residencies. Dark Temple is his first vinyl release. On the 4 tracks, the melancholic Eastern vibes and melodies are woven into a thick energetic house blanket.
