Mures – Tools For Modern Times Restraint [MRT010]

Mures are Joshua Cordova and Santiago Leyba. They fit perfectly as MRT010, transporting the label from the cold, grey, drowned in concrete atmospheres of Acid Ernst to the working class heat of the American south. Electronic body music, factory music, machines intensify their rhythm as degrees rise. Hot iron is forged, sweat and black stains cover bodies, hard labor, the struggle and the hammers, tools for modern times restraint. Rare Metal and Workers have just paved the way to that bullet that is Trains of Thought.

VA – 6 Years of KHIDI I[KHIDIANIV001]

To mark the club’s 6th Anniversary, Tbilisi club KHIDI announces a series of three VA EPs with tracks from its residents and artists closely affiliated with the club. It is Blueprint legend James Ruskin that opens up the first volume with his rusted loops and fizzing synths on ‘Kite.’ Yanamaste’s ‘Magma’ is then an eerie and empty dub that sounds like being lost in an old warehouse on your own. Tensal brings the rave with his hammering drum power and flashing synths on ‘Psychic Radio’ while Phase Fatale & Reka close things down with the jack-hammer beats of ‘No Esperes Mas.’

VA – Creme From The Crypt [CrBundle1]

Trickster record label Creme Organization pull no punches with this curveball move, sourcing many of its artists’ yet-released tracks – “many forgotten ore and metal deposits”, owing to their scarcity – into a singularly weird 6-track mini-album. Furthermore, to accompany its weirdo techno and puzzling pandemonia, the decision to purchase this project comes with the opportunity to be sent 10 – yes, 10 – randomly selected LPs from the Creme back catalogue, as well as an exclusive book of the label’s Godspill artwork.

O-Wells – Moldoom [ORKL-X-96]

O-Wells is back on Die Orakel with his fourth transmission, called “Moldoom”. This 4-track séance is mainly made of uplifiting, spaced out electro tracks, some rolling along with subtle or acid basslines, lush pads and gently subdued detroitish chords.

Jeroen Search – Enigma [RYCL016]

A stalwart of the Dutch techno scene since the mid nineties, Jeroen Search has been ploughing his own furrow aside from the typical norms and standards of the techno scene with lasting integrity and unflinching dedication throughout the years. A coinage derived from the sharp, clinically designed blends he has come to be known for, that Search-sound has long established as a blueprint for DJs seeking laser-guided weaponry into their sets, and Jeroen’s maiden effort for RYC follows that very guideline. Starting with the massive pound of the title-track, “Enigma”, the EP knocks into your system with blunt force, ushering us into a no-frills corridor of hydraulic kicks and sizzling static. As per usual with Jeroen’s compositions, minimalism serves a purpose of exponential effect.

Genetic Factor – In Deadly Wet Dreams [AD016]

Artificial Dance announces the full archival compilation of work by Richard Zeilstra A.K.A. Genetic Factor. Recorded in different parts of the world, at different times – we hope this will give the world a glimmer of the mind of Genetic Factor. A mind that has been behind a variety of very influential operations during the years; including a string of radio programmes (Radionome & Spleen a.o.), working at Boudisque and running Barcelona’s first compact disc store. The songs featured are not an attempt of making a coherent ‘album’ but much more trials of interpretation of his world into ‘music’. His strong believe in non-musicianship makes it more thrilling than conventional musics, yet these recordings are not result of amateurism – they form a consistent reality of what excites him. Take a dive in the realm of the Genetic Factor…
