Transpac – Infobahn LP [CRTSX014]

Transpac delivers the fourteenth drop on Curtis Electronix presenting Infobahn LP, a seven-track odyssey that showcases their refined, perceptive approach to Electro. Throughout the record they blend elegance and precision through a carefully crafted sonic environment where every sound, frequency, and element serves a purpose. It effortlessly alternates between 4/4 dancefloor killers and beatless segments, creating a dynamic energy that balances weightlessness and density. This interplay of intensity and suspension makes this record unpredictable and striking. The seeming simplicity of the structure hides a deep, sophisticated exploration of sound, where atmospheric textures and production dig deep into the potentialities of space and frequency. Simplicity serves as a gateway through which the deepest complexities unfold.

Passarani presents M.Chrome – Flare Rider [STUDIOMST003]

The third offering from Marco Passarani’s Studiomaster label heralds a significant return: M.Chrome. Absent since 1994 when it debuted on Alan Oldham’s Generator, this alias is resurrected to explore new sonic frontiers. This isn’t just an EP; it’s a series of compelling sonic narratives, guiding listeners through techno and house territories. Expect subtle acid inflections, deep cosmic voyages, and a powerful, melancholic harmonic core that defines its distinct planetary landscapes. Best experienced as the sun begins to rise and the vision of distant planets starts to fade.

Black Sites – R4 LP [TRESOR379]

A long-dormant signal reactivates from Hamburg’s hidden places: Helena Hauff and F#X return as Black Sites with R4 on Tresor Records, their first full-length album and the first release under the moniker since 2014. Like a hieroglyphic recently discovered and translated, R4 feels more like a long-awaited resumption than a comeback. Recorded to tape with minimal editing or post-production the record is a classic example of the symbiotic relationship that can come from the interaction of human and machine. This punk ethos isn’t invoked through distortion alone, but through method; in the album’s breaking from the received wisdom of hardness tethered to speed as most of the tougher pieces are lower BPM and vice versa.

Borderline State Disorder – S/T [NYH387]

“Borderline State Disorder is a project which emerged from a country with problematic borders definition. Within that country, speaking loud for human rights and opposing the occupation is not common (it exists but sadly it tends to be muted). But it is even more important now, during the hardest times of war.
We believe all human beings are equal, and they all deserve freedom, safety and future.
Thank you”

VA – No Hope, No Fear [KRI011]

‘No Hope, No Fear’ is a new vinyl series in KRI Records’ catalogue, combining 4 artists and a nod to the legendary Slovenian band Borghesia and our apocalyptic times. Swedish duo Harlem Electronics is responsible for the meaty opening track ‘Versausage’, where minimal wave meets industrial funk. Fear side is rounded by American Kri family member Ole Mic Odd, returning with his signature haunting electro gloom. Hope side doesn’t necessarily offer hope but sure does help with escapism. Slovenian partner in crime 198319831983 gives an apt comment while twisting electro and EBM on ‘Trustno1’. The record finishes on a “high” note with the legendary Cute Heels ft. Duke MC Herton for peak-time club decadence.

Telemaco Xavier Quintet – Time Pawn [APNEA115]

Eduardo de la Calle and DJ Surgeles meet Fabio Giachino, David Strike, and Manu Melero Amaya in Telmaco Xavier Quintet, a project where jazz and electronics engage in a real-time exchange rather than a controlled experiment. “Time Pawn” is built on interaction – musicians and machines reacting to each other, shifting between structure and instinct. Eduardo and Surgeles don’t frame jazz within an electronic grid, nor do they treat electronic textures as a decorative layer. Instead, they allow both elements to retain their full character, pushing and pulling in ways that never settle into easy resolutions. Fabio Giachino’s piano moves freely, alternately threading through and cutting across the pulse. David Strike and Manu Melero Amaya bring movement that resists the obvious, allowing groove to exist without being locked in place. The result isn’t about merging styles but letting them exist in the same space–sometimes in harmony, sometimes in friction, always in motion.
