Reissue of essential Chicago vocal house classic from the 90ties. b/w with sinister haunting instrumental jackin track “I’m So Deep”

Mathematics Recordings presents a new classic deep house collaboration between former founding member of Virgo Four Merwyn Sanders and Italy’s prolific Simoncino. Emotive sounds of organic roots for the basement and bare bones sound systems. The 12″ also includes a remix from Kai Alce.

Willie Griffin’s Boo Williams alias returns to Goldmin Music for the label’s most recent release. The Living Waters EP sees the Chicago native at his very best, as he combines his customary, old-school, rough-and-ready approach with a newfound approach.

Stunning new WT records by Art Crime, who make it debut with his amazing 4 track ep. Hailing from Moscos Art Crime delivers a versatile ep with up tempo tracks ranging from more melodic piano driven house on the opening track to heavy percussion driven techno with a nice metalic bass line topped with more piano and almost Drexciyan atmospheres in the melancholic Happiness Side Effects, and beautiful dramatic vibes on the final track.

Gear appreciating Italian ”Giorgio Luceri” enters the SAFT dome with the machine driven ”Liger EP”. On the opening track ”Liger” Giorgio cleverly paints an elusive ambiance using jumbled drums and an appealing bassline together with a continual synthline that nicely sits on top of the serene pads that give rise to an intense atmosphere. The B1 side opens with similar soothing pads that gradually change when the immense bassline and full bodied kick drum come in. Giorgio again creates a somewhat adverse vibe which helps to give it a hint of lushness. For the B2, Chicago legend ‘Gene Hunt’ contributes with a massive percy remix for ”Liger”. A lot of drum action is present in this club oriented (yet deep) roller.

With the Body EP Scott Fraser signs his third collaboration for Astro Lab Recordings. Scott is back with this inspired track of Old School Chicago house with a small touch of classic Detroit techno. With Scott we decided to ask Raudive for the b-side remix, he tuned Body into his own techno secret, strong bass treatment, crazy synth, something really strong for the dance floor.

Beat Pharmacy man Brendon Moeller delivers his fourth full-length, his first since 2011. In typical fashion, there’s a twisted, druggy intensity to the music, which flits between psychedelic electronica (see opener “The Frequency of Love” and vaguely tropical “Stepping Out”), tough, acid-tinged techno beatscapes (“Guilty Pleasure”), dub-influenced sludge (the excellent title track), and dubstep-influenced industrial spookiness (“Deep Fried”). For all the murkiness on display, there are moments of startling beauty and almost alarming clarity, with the samba shuffle and sun-flecked melodies of “Tricks of the Shade”, and picturesque, humid “Lost” standing out.

Number one in a series of three remix ep’s featuring tracks from the Trus’me album ‘Treat Me Right’.

Deep advanced techno by Time 2 Express label head, Peter van Hoesen. This time 2 cool tracks on fellow Belgium label Curle records.

Join the Engineers of the Other Space as they embark on a journey deep into the outer realms of the imagination. Travel to the Outer Space Division and Fall into the Strata.Belief System is proud to present the newly received Random Audio transmissions from Deep Space Central.

Milton Bradley lands his extra-terrestrial alias back on home soil. This fourth Alien Rain 12″ is arguably the best release of the series so far, with “Alienated 4A” tumbling through a wormhole of fluctuating acid pulses and a sturdy 4/4 kicks, while “Alienated 4B” shares a similar make up, the acid is coarser and the drums harder. “Alienated 4C” then sees Bradley in deeper techno mode, as ambient textures float around two voices of acid – one high the other low – making for a moody workout similar to his 303-driven productions on Prologue.

Darko Esser’s Tripeo alias is really starting to take off and this will likely be the final 12″ before the Dutch producer’s debut album as Tripeo, Anipintiros. It’s hard not to think Frozen Border, Sandwell District, or even Prologue when listening the A-side on this record, “Untitled #9”, while on the flip there’s “Untitled #10”, a Detroit inspired jumble of strung-out leads, confused computer bleeps and flexed 909 drums.

Initially recorded in 1978 after endless late night sessions exploring the new realms of this free form electronic music, the first incarnation was recorded live to tape for a failed film project. An uplifting spaced-out synth journey, it was the later reworked version that would go on to become the lost cult classic. With added disco syncopation taking the track into interstellar spheres, it appeared only as a flipside of Cosmic Hoffmann’s first and last single, ”Weltraumboogie”, in 1982. Unfortunately the release did not make much impression at the time but has become highly sought-after for the more leftfield DJ and music lovers in the years since. Now fully licensed and remastered, the inclusion of the unreleased 1978 Original will be only add to the collectors dream.

Antoni Maiovvi’s career began with a quite frankly amazing lie. In reality Maiovvi is not an original Italo producer from the 1980s come back to reclaim his crown, but a project started at the end of 2006 by composer Anton Maiof to explore a world made of synth pop, hi-nrg and horror soundtracks.
