Mote-Evolver continues to push on into uncharted territories of electronic music with the ‘Parallel Series 1”, the first in a new series where 2 artists are featured side by side – contrasting and complementing. A dedicated producer with over than a decade of experience, British born ASC goes head to head with Luke Slater’s rather rare L.B.Dub Corp guise over 4 tracks of vivid new techno.

There’s a variety of ways to produce Techno and Cio creates always a unique world of deep, clear, transparent sound architectures. Even with this new Magnetfluss EP our grande madame of Techno show us a new interpretation of her own musical world. All tracks are deeply emotional designed and bare a picture of modern electronic music.

HTRK’s Ghostly International debut Work (work, work) is a flat-lined study of desire and submission, sentimentality and dysphoria. The art-rock duo (pronounced “Hate Rock”) finished the album’s production while grieving the sudden loss of founding member and bassist Sean Stewart to suicide in March ‘10. And while that tragedy has certainly found its way into the music’s bottomless sonic void, Work (work, work), written from 2006-10 in Berlin and London, is about much more than abject darkness. On Work (work, work), HTRK craft a stark soundscape: achingly slow 808 beats, eerie synth arpeggios, vaporous guitar noise, and Jonnine Standish’s androgynous, detached vocals, dripping with reverb. And yet it’s the careful way the pair combine those elements—organizing and juxtaposing them with a minimalist’s attention to detail—that makes their music so emotionally devastating.

Originally released on Paris Records in 1985 Ruth’s LP sold just 50 copies and was relegated to obscurity until the track “Polaroïd/Roman/Photo” started appearing on bootlegs and compilations in the early 00’s, slowly becoming the cult synth pop classic it is nowadays. An original copy goes for upwards of £300 on ebay and Ruth are a shining light from an oft forgotten music scene that is becoming increasingly influential today.

The debut album from Tanz Ohne Musik, a project by Dan Serbanescu (The Pixels, Divine Muzak).

New Dutch imprint Purple Maze presents it’s first release, a 4 track EP from The Please. The Dutch duo comprised of Hans Verhaag & Minggus Dorpmans favour lo-fi, often slo-mo sounds that cross pollinate house music with a whole other world of leftfield electronic sounds, and do just that on this new EP.

The third release on Boogie Originals is another genre-crossing musical excursion from Deep Space Orchestra and James Johnston, with a remix from Voyeur Rhythms Ben Sun.

Hotflush presents its first EP from Braille: otherwise known as Praveen Sharma. “A Meaning” EP delves further into Praveen’s love for house music, resulting in four bubbling, soulful house tracks, jacking 808 rhythms adorned with tasteful sample manipulations and a warm, emotive foundation.

Part two of the four-part Inertia sampler again serves up four heavy-hitting techno bangers from different artists of the new-school techno generation. First up is Frenchman Marcelus who offers a heavy house and techno fusion, before London’s Sigha goes deep and ominous. Redshape and Area Forty_One close out the package with frozen, static coated sounds and textured techno respectively.

The first of 4×4 vinyl releases from the Ann Aimee compilation, Inertia. This opening volume includes cuts from Delta Funktionen, Peter Van Hoesen, Roman Lindau and Sawlin. Delta Funktionen goes deep and dramatic, Peter Van Hoesen offers up his usual dub-wise textures, whilst Lindau pairs icy hi-hats with a heavy stomping beat. Sawlin offers the trippiest techno with his delightfully disheveled ’Excipidial’ and closes out what is an essential.

Francois x returns to the Deeply Rooted House label for his third record. Code Red has a great classic Techno vibe , while Haunted is an acid intriguing deep and dark track. Bonus comes on the flip side with the Marcel Dettmann remix of Code Red. His version is stripped down dark and pumping in his unique and raw and intense Berghain style.

Traut Muzik presents release number 010 coming from Andrés Zacco. This EP includes two original tracks and a remix by the Dutch producer Conforce.

The Black Void Of Space EP 00/2 is the second 12″ from Resoes debut album. ‘Nachhall’ is a atmospheric track, with metallic chords and lushfull strings, while ‘Dubcuttin’ is Resoe’s expression of a Dubstep track, with a more Techno kind of edge to it. The EP is closed by a Don Williams remix.

Manuel Tur returns to Delusions with a (bi) polar opposite in the form of the ‘Foolinʼ’ EP. The title track is a beautiful slice of soul-drenched house which goes for a classic sound with simple horn chords, rolling bass and incessant claps spicing up the groove. Flipping over we have ‘The Traveller’ which sees Manuel head down slightly more familiar territory with a heavy, lo-slung groove providing the backdrop for some Axelrod-style strings and horns, live bass and floating vocal adlibs. A subtley haunting soundtrack feel pervedes as the arrangement developes but the relentless driving beats make sure this track never strays far from the dancefloor.

KiNK & Neville Watson return with ‘A Saturday In September’, their first vocal track, featuring vocals if Kim Ann Foxman (of Hercules And Love Affair). Future-retro Chicago house, with late 80’s New York influences.

Terpsichore welcomes The Florian Muller Project with the marvellous ”Jam with it”. The funky live bass and the amazing deepness of its chords and vocals make this track a must for any deep connoisseur. The Oliverwho Factory on remix duties.

The third release by Vakula on Shevchenko. Intense dub pressure on the A-side with an epic Bergheim-style percussive techno track on the flip that weighs in at over 13 mins. Pure, analogue, undulating house music.

Vakula weighs in once again with the raw, untouchable and emotional warehouse music. Detroit and Chicago serve as only reference points, Ukraine acts as the surreal catalyst.

Dutch millipede Nick Lapien offers a view of one of his intriguing projects, this time as Metropolis. This alter-ego, inspired by the 1927’ cultfilm, gives his idea of how the city would look like if it was created out of musical waves. Neo-electronic, mechanical, raw and as dark as a film noir.
