New release on Clone’s sublabel Jack For Daze. Includes 3 jacking chicago traxx.

One Eyed Jacks is the new record label from Photonz out of Portugal, who make analogue based dance music that wears it’s influences on it’s sleeve whilst remaining unique and original.

Another unlikely yet highly successful remix excursion for Delphic, picking up an uber-limited one-sided rerub from Detroit’s Kyle Hall. There’s practically no trace of the original to be heard, just a damn fine exhibition of Motor City techniques, shaking slightly broken drums under filtered and flanged keys, locking into a sweetly sensual loop of house magic.

Deadly serious new voyage into the unknown by A Made Up Sound… weirdly emotive, yet banging machine-funk with punching low end on the A-side; far out metallic broken-beyond-repair beat science on the flip.

Immerse records chief Kidkut presents two breakbeat heavy workouts for Apple Pips. ‘ILove04’ edits a live and crispy drum break over dutty dark garage bass and misty-eyed hardcore pads with a respectful nod to Dego or Seiji, while ‘Lilt’ arranges wickedly melodic Afro-Latin drums with a breezy Broken Beat swing.

Fans of Joe, Blawan or Peverelist really must check!

Peverelist drops two righteously forward riddims for Punch Drunk. The Bristol ringleader has built his rep on quality, not quantity and these tracks bear testament to his principled and stringently executed approach. ‘Better Ways Of Living’ nods to the pared down 808 aesthetic of Swamp 81 with a brittle bustling beat scaffold acting like monkey bars for a piped synth organ to twist, scuttle and roll around in, while ‘Fighting Without Fighting’ continues the rhythmically busy flex with slick dipping edits and bespoke dub measurements applied in a future jungle-hardcore style.

Night Slugs announce the latest installment in their white label series – the much-anticipated debut 12” of London producer Jam City. On the A side, the psychedelic grime interplorer ”Ecstasy Refix” glows with warmth at its analog core. A jubilant tribute to the art of the grime refix, the track simultaneously recalls two disparate by-gone eras, to devastating effect. On the B side, Night Slugs favorite ”Let Me Bang Refix” drowns a gutter house classic in sheer beams of searing fluorescent synth. Jam City borrows a vintage Wiley meme on closing track ”Shut The Lights Off (Devil Mix)”, all but void of a drum kit it hangs in suspension, awash in sublime synths.

Jacob Korn prooves his good taste and fine production skills with this new release on Dolly! Warm bassline driven tracks with loads of energym, Sundaysun and Sand are big warm house tunes. Remixes from Dexter and John Daly.

“Shake Your Body Down Spiraling” out of an original live studio jam, this track has been tearing up clubs this summer. Showing due respect for early Chicago acid house & first-wave Detroit techno,it reverberates with the influences and atmospheres experienced amidst the clubs and out-door parties of 89-94, yet sounds like the here & now. “Twilight Another” edited live Discreet Unit session, flowing in and out of a huge pulse line, the track just sounds just like it should.

The legendary cosmic troubadour DJ Harvey under his alias Locussolus wi ll be shooting out another highly anticipated 12″, on the Uruguayan label International Feel this fall.

Beretta Grey proudly brings to you the ‘Finite EP’ by the talented new producer hailing from San Francisco, Christina Chatfield. Two original tracks located between the warm jacking beats of Chicago house and cool soulful stabs of Detroit techno. The release comes with a remix from Reference.

The first single from Model 500 in eleven years, and the first recorded by the new band line up is most definitely an event for R&S Records. Uptempo electro techno tracks from Juan Atkins with classic bass lines and robotic vocals.

Michigan Central Station built in 1913 for the Michigan Central Railroad, was Detroit, Michigan’s passenger rail depot from its opening in 1913 until the discontinuance of Amtrak service on January 6, 1988. At the time of its construction, it was the tallest rail station in the world. The building, located in the Corktown district of Detroit still stands today, though it remains unoccupied. Restoration projects and plans have gone as far as the negotiation process, but none have come to fruition. Spread throughout the city of Detroit and its surrounding metropolitan area, the decay of once magnificent buildings during the industrial revolution and automobile era now cast a shadow of despair on a once flourishing city. These monuments of achievement now lay barren and forsaken by city government. Infrastructural restoration and city development are fundamental elements in Detroit’s recovery, and the recovery of cities worldwide. It is time for revival in our cities, but first, in our souls. The Michigan Central Station EP is a platform for this change.

Traut Muzik and Jonas Kopp present Music From The Basement Series Part I. Tacks from Dario Zenker, Tom Dicicco and Jonas himself.

One of the most cherished artists in the Ostgut family, Shed returns with his sophomore album “The Traveller”. It’s a more subtle and perhaps more confident record than Shedding The Past, taking in austere dub minimalism (‘The Bot’), gauzy ambient interludes (‘STP 2′), imperious acid techno (‘My R-Class’), and, on closing track ‘Leave Things’, a kind of scuffed, ecstatic jungle reminiscent of Aphex Twin’s ‘Polynomial-C’. FACT’s Kiran Sande called up Pawlowitz in Berlin to discuss the LP, and the unlikely debt it owes to the Pet Shop Boys…”

The new Uzuri presents a VA with 4 traks from Ksoul & Muteoscillator, Chicago Skyway, Juju & Jordash and Slowburn, bringing to us the sound of house from Turin, Chicago, Amsterdam and Dublin.

Hyperactive hotshot house hunk Axel Boman steps up and delivers a stunning debut EP for Pampa. Since many years an important force on the small but friendly Swedish club scene, and one third of the Studio Barnhus crew together with Kornél Kovács and Petter, Axel is as experienced a producer as his ideas are fresh. He is creating “worlds” rather than “tracks”, and on his “Holy Love” EP we are transported to three very different places indeed.

Charlton Ravenberg is the dutch artist who signs the 4th M_Rec Ltd’s vinyl. In this EP he has 4 tracks…where it shows its full potential. In tracks such as ‘Basterd’ and ‘Slow Down’ creates trip slow and hypnotic… in tracks like ‘Backwards’ and ‘Forwards’ trips are a little more techno with Detroit school influences. It’s a release that will sure know more about the label and the artist for its modernity and its substance.

Classic 1997 house track from Walt J aka Walter Jones. Curle have jumped at the chance to re-issue it and we don’t blame them. Plus they’ve got DJ QU – easily one of the best underground house producers around at the moment – to do one hell of a rework.
