Label head Dj Nephil returns on Gravitational Waves with a new 11 tracks cassette release using his System Disorder project.

Los Angeles based Ole Mic Odd (Michael Padgett) hits Dead Channel with this highly anticipated scorcher of an EP. At the forefront of mutant sounds, Padgett hammers his way through pumped-up, biting acid electro, lo-fi fuzzed out melodia, and absolutely mangled percussive tracks shattering your wrecked body into a thousand pieces. The musical vanguard seamlessly fuses rhythm and sound from the far reaches of modern dance music, culminating in this sinister work of preternatural maximum overdrive.

Long before becoming an icon of funk, acid jazz, and R&B, Roy Ayers was a promising young jazz vibraphonist. Originally released in 1967, Virgo Vibes was Ayers’ second album, and his debut for Atlantic. With five cool, funky jazz tracks, the LP features talented musicians like Joe Henderson, Charles Tolliver, Bruno Carr, Jack Wilson and the mysterious pianist Ronnie Clark (Herbie Hancock playing under a pseudonym). A rare treasure infused with the relaxed, sunny vibe that defined Ayers’ stellar career, Virgo Vibes is now available again on vinyl.

“Turkish Disco Folk – Volga Nehri” is a fantastic Turkish psychedelic disco folk track that sounds from the original 1970s. Funky sound with moog organ, bass guitar even fat synth bass riffs and double drum tunes. Carefully reworked from the master tape by Arşivplak, Olgay Neke and SIRS.

The Turkish-psych band Altın Gün return with a two-song summer remix single. The two tracks feature the remixing talents of Altın Gün band members Jasper Verhulst (bass) and Chris Bruining (percussion). Both Verhulst and Bruining are always searching for new ways of (re) creating music and these remixes were one way to discover new paths in the music they fashion as part of Altın Gün. Kalk Gidelim is a cumbia driven remix, inspired by the cumbia villera of Argentina, while Su Sızıyor is a digidub style remix with lots of King Tubby inspired reverbs and phasers.

‘Psykhe’ sees Lithuanian musician and composer Gediminas Jakubka continuing to explore his distinct sound, but taking it in a new direction: a step away from the euphoric new age dance floor and into a significantly murkier, more precarious territory. ‘Psykhe’ is meant as a sonic simulacrum of the artist’s psyche during the pandemic – a quickened mind bred by a decelerated world. In that and other senses, the record is a modern take on the ‘80s/’90s Detroit ethos of dance music created for an illusory dance floor.

Ed Upton is back to Shipwrec for his sixth release with the label. The British musician has crafted icy electro, thoughtful electronica and textured techno and ‘Tree in Space’ is a combination of these styles. Blending a spread of sounds, acid, braindance and techno, DMX Krew serves up something truly special. Brooding notes are met by cracked percussion and simmering 303 squawk in a track that pursues its own path. An EP from a musician that continues to stretch boundaries and imaginations.

From the 90s IDM influences, Jauzas The Shining is a deep odyssey into the cold groove of electro sounds, using his sickness on skyzophrenic beats from his electronic dark side. Out on Specimen.
