Synapsis Records is back with a excursion into deep house with a new record from Hakim Murphy called Moonbeam Express EP. In this presentation there are three tracks that explore the deeper side of Murphy’s subconscious in which he describes this vinyl sound as an express trip to the moon through cosmic textures, deep grooves, and subliminal funk

Skylax Records welcomes their 25th release, with Simoncino for the “Warrior Dance III”. This EP features on A Side the wonderfull “Warriors dance” (chicago’s jackin heaven’s not so far we guess), “Tropical vibe” that’s got this kind of disco feeling without sounding (thx god) nu-disco & to end “Hey detroit” that speaks for itself . On the B side, we have 2 remixes, one from Ron Trent & another atmospheric & deep as hell one from Chez Damier’s morning after mix part II.

Two deep house tracks from Latecomer on this new Motor City Drum Ensemble release. Latecomer, a former group with its roots in Moldova, formed by Eugen Kara, Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici and with interventions from Octavian Cotet. A culmination of simple yet banging soundscapes, traditional approaches and composition linked together with modern rhythms and beats – a soulful tiny particule of the expansive musical universe.

Cottam’s debut on the Aus imprint, with Deep Deep Down continuing the lineage of thick set mid tempo acid explorations. Sprawling luxuriously across the length of the A Side, the title track builds effortlessly from the spacious grooves and alien chug of the opening moments into a sumptuous array of floating sax, twisting acid lines and forever floating pads. Step forward Vakula completely realigning the feel of the track despite retaining some core elements. Cottam completes this excellent 12″ with the quite aptly named “Twang”, a seven minute boogie burner.

Kazuki Yamaguchi aka Kez YM brings 4 excellent Detroit House beat-down tracks on Faces Records.

300 Degrees is a side project by IJO, dedicated to live electronic music made with vintage drum machines, synths and other analog gear. Recorded live as a part of a performance / improvisation between 2008 and 2010. Some of the tracks on this album have been previously released on “Napalm Enema Records” and “Cactus Island Recordings”.

Secretive musicos Purple Maze are to release their second offering and it comes from equally low-key producer Yør. A self-assured and delightfully suggestive release, Rave EP pulls you deep into the Purple Maze without you really realizing.

Lovely deep house tracks with old schoolish metalic basslines and good vibes. It is time for the season of real deepness again. Smallpeople come along with another joint in splendid House Music to welcome wintertime. Dionne and Julius Steinhoff had an enormous success with their Meadows EP together with Christopher Rau on Smallville in last year’s autumn.

The first release on Ominira, a new German label, featuring three raw edged deeper house tracks with a softer soul and a solid straight on drive. Tracks bt Karrem Moser aka Kassem Mosse, Juniper and Kowton.

New release on Kinda Soul Recordings by mathematics artist Takeshi Kouzuki. 3 tracks on this new 12″ blending smooth acidic otherworldy sounds with classic Chicago influenced bouncy beats.

The duo of Travis Stewart (Machinedrum) and Praveen Sharma (Braille), utilize the broader canvas of the album format to develop their collaborative process and incorporate the diverse influences present in their solo work to their sonic mixture. But both artists add a crucial sense of emotional sensibility and melodic sensuality that defines the Sepalcure sound.

A return to VR from Ben Sun, who delves into deeper territory on the original cut; emotive analogue synths washing over a roland drum groove and a swirling female vocal, all underpinned by a warm, rumbling bassline. The flipside features some heavyweight remix work from the prolific Deep Space Orchestra (Use Of Weapons, ART, Delusions Of Grandeur) and label mate Tyson Ballard teaming up with Vincenzo (Poker Flat, Dessous). Vincenzo and Ballard’s mix is a heavy hitting, moody take on the original, with subtle, dark strings and a growling, evolving bassline, while DSO round off the release with trademark fat drums and soaring melodic synth work.

Kevin Reynolds, showcasing his savvy for deep mesmerizing grooves, he brings us two tracks for the mind, the body and the soul, ready to conquer dancefloors worldwide. Fusing raw tribal elements with warm strings and chords, Kevin creates his own fresh trademark flavour, paying hommage to the original techno soul of his hometown along the way. Keeping traditions alive by retroperspective modernism.

First released on Beautiful Granville Records, the band FLO Crew, meaning For Lovers Only Crew, was meant to be an outline for an actual performing band. In Other words, all instruments heard on the FLO Crew recordings were meant to be assigned to instrumentalists, leaving these recordings as, actually, templates of song concepts. Thus, featured here are all instruments composed and recorded by Tevo Howard. Simply put, FLO Crew is Tevo Howard’s funk Band. The Band itself addresses all aspects of romantic love, which includes breakup songs like the one featured here. The band should be considered a funk outfit that pays its own funky way of looking at many genres and tempos. Both tracks in this selection are in their original arrangements and re-mastered.
