Pomelo’s newest outing is delivered by the NYC based producer extraordinaire Brendon Moeller, a real master in the field of techno and dub. The EP’s title track promises a subtle fusion of house and techno through a loosly swinging techno groove, and duly delivers with echoing chord cascades and spluttering sound effects. Machiavellian impulse picks up the intensity with a more direct, pounding beat, to which stuttering, spacious stabs add an element of deepness and dub. Loudness Sustain Decay finally has a whole side to itself, starting out as a lofty house mover, with a pulsing wild pitch synths slowly adding tension until the track’s wild finale.

Ostgut Ton presents ‘Unknown Origin’ the debut album from Luke Slater’s L.B. Dub Corp moniker. The ten tracks recorded at Spacestation Ø form a hymnal intent on transporting you back to the roots. Digging deep into the history of dance music, ‘Unknown Origin’ dares to ask the big questions and offers noeasy answers. Instead, deep spiritual dubs are side- by-side with slices of piano house, and handsome slabs of techno contrast with the words of the silver-tongued poet Benjamin Zephaniah.

The shadowy UK techno artist, A Sagittariun, releases his debut album this November, to coincide with the Sagittarius zodiac period. “Dream Ritual” comes off the back of a steady stream of well received EPs from ‘The Archer’ on his own Elastic Dreams label, releases that have captured the imaginations of the electronic community for their depth and diversity, where old techno breaks collide with Detroit techno aesthetics, ambient dub sits alongside industrially charged electro, and many more sound palettes inbetween. “Dream Ritual” continues this journey through moods and tempos, each track sprinkled with this stargazing quality. Opening track “Sundial” sets the tone, the percussive elements teasing in and out of a melodious, thick analogue cloud. “Dream Ritual” represents the versatility of A Sagittariun, and presents a collection of music for the listening experience as opposed to a dancefloor record, hopefully following the lineage of some of the classic techno and electronic albums that have paved the way and most definitely influenced A Sagittariun on this record.

Deep quality techno by Ohrwert, Marco Supernak & Oliver Deutschmann. Clear vinyl, full cover, each vinyl with an individually hand-painted center sleeve.

For this first vinyl only EP, Shlomo, one of the label’s owner arrives with two original tracks with a deep atmosphere crossing classic techno drums. The other side presents two remix, on from the Edinburgh’s techno master Stephen Brown with a fine old school reshaping. Next comes The Conforce’s remodel which will talk to all ambient and minimalistic techno, 100% as we love his sound. Beautiful contracts between the liquid beauty and massive force of techno.

North Lake on Phonica. “Moonwalker” features three analog jams born out of live sessions – three beautiful synth cuts for home and club listening that instantly bring parallels to early Isolee material; melodic and heavy enough to whip up a frenzy on the dancefloor. “Marlborol Noir” kicks off proceedings, chugging away effortlessly with it’s ascending and descending synth riffs, the spawn of a long imprpvised session in the studio. “Suomi Kutsuu” opens the b-side emphatically, a heavy galloping rhythm and an ascending synth riff dominating from the off. It’s six minutes of pure analog battle gear. Rounding off the EP, title track “Moonwalker” is a pacy mix of arpeggiated synths, intricate drum programing and eerie melodies that intertwine perfectly with the bass-heavy syncopated kick drum.

L.I.E.S. present a conceptual O.S.T. LP about Kowloon City, Hong Kong produced by Samo DJ and Max Stenerudh.

The house leaning off shoot of Fachwerk Records hits release number three here with a two track release from Reno Wurzbacher, the ‘housemate cousin’ of the crew who has already turned up on the label a couple of times. First up is the coy melancholia and pillow-y deep house of ‘The Love You Got’. It’s a grainy cut with grey scale textures and sultry voices contained with in the sparse groove. It strikes a nice late night mood before German master of the deep Sven Weisemann turns in his own remix. This version is more upright and weighty, with bulbous synth lines dropping into the mix, which is already awash with rippling pad puddles. Early in the evening, late in the night, either way both tracks here hit their intended mark perfectly….

Mon series returns with a new EP of detroitescque techno by Eduardo De La Calle. Raw, dubby and spaced out 4 tracker.

Gaetano Vinci a.k.a. Hooved has been one of the most dependable producers on AMAM over the years, and more recently, his sound has mutated in some unexpected directions. Thats why its high time to give our knob- twiddling satyr his own special catalog code from now on, and here we present amamhvd001, or for those of you who prefer titles instead of strings of letters and numbers, the Timeless EP, his first 12inch of the year. The near-15-minute TMLSS 1 begins with a 2-step beat, and as it unfolds, the beats only get more broken, causing a sense of auditory psychosis while somehow remaining calm, cool and collected

TM404 is a project where Andreas Tilliander embarks on a conceptual journey through classic Roland machinery. On the A-side of the Svans EP you can clearly hear the connection to Richie and his Plastikman project. The track 303/303/303/606/606 is heavy, slow grooving techno that brings the listener back to the dark emptiness of the Plastikman Consumed era. On the b-side the TM404 project is allowed elevated to new levels. With a Yamaha SY-1 and a Yamaha TG33 entering the machine park, TM404 for the first time, breaks his Roland oath and opens up the project to a future of new possibilities.

On “Colonial Patterns”, Brian Leeds (Huerco S) treats his Kansas City region as a universe worthy of its own electronic music. To that end, Leeds deconstructs Midwestern techno and house tropes. The pieces are corrugated, rough, and decompositional. Working cheaply, Leeds conscientiously uses low-end software, synths and cassettes so as to subvert the gloss of so much urban dance music, giving tracks an impressionistic, emotive feel.

New EP on Emphasis Recordings. Track “Incite” from ”Thoughts From Chicago Vol. Three” 7” (Eargasmic) gets a rearrange by Steven Tang, and a Dubbyman remix. A mid tempo goover called ”Slight” rounds out the EP.

The Prince Of Denmark is back. Giegling presents Prince of Demarks debut album on their new techno imprint “FORUM”. Most of the material recorded in 2010 shows the path of the warrior, his needs and desires that left traces along his way.

Tabernacle Records present the first part of Paul Mitchell’s Dichotomy series is a set of mind-expanding light and dark synth pieces.

Thirteen years ago the Nurture label released upekah, the one and only single to come under the son.sine alias. It’s an alias of a New Zealander who released only a select few EPs under different monikers, and one that sounds as good today as it did back then given all its dub infused techno glory. It’s always been hard to come buy but now Delsin are remastering and rereleasing it into the world once more.

For those that don’t know, Bluetrain was a sub label of the legendary Mosaic and was a true classic label from the 90’s where Steve released quality dub techno and house along with some fantastic collaborations with the likes of Ben Sims and Lee Grainge. The pack includes 10 Tracks in total. 2 Remastered versions, 4 exclusive mixes/edits and 4 new and unreleased tracks from Steve.
