Jared Wilson – Let Your Body, Make Your Body [DOLLY006]

Weird yet very funky & playable Chicago inspired house/acid tracks by Detroit’s Jared Wilson. Jacking rhythms, nasty 303 basslines and whispering voices creating this nice old-fashioned sexual energy. Conforce on remix duties delivers a deep & moody techy house rework.
Joey Anderson – Written In The Stars Mix
Achim Maerz – This Is The End [FA027]

Achim Maerz makes his debut on Fine Art with a 5 track EP release. Tracks that are upbeat & summerish with a classic groove! Early Chicago influences are obvious, but Achim added a nice contemporary touch.

Roy of the Ravers – Green Irish Tweed LP [CF054] FREE DOWNLOAD

Roy of the Ravers releases his debut album, a somewhat deeper and darker affair than the “2010 Annual” EP and showing another side to the enigmatic acid-purveying, comic strip plagiarising hardware aficionado. Anyone else wondering what happened to track 16? Us too.
Terrence Dixon – The Parkhurst [THEMA022]

“The Parkhurst” gives us five cuts spanning a wide spectrum of emotional hues and dancefloor objectives and we can see Terrence venturing into some rare territory for one who has hewed such a well-defined and recognizable sound through his career. “City Nights” it’s a maze of operatic afrobeat-tinged house music rushing gaining momentum with each angular twist into sweaty oblivion.“Suspended” is the breather after the workout: sensory deprivation courtesy of rippling strands of static chords, featuring a deep extended digital-only mix of this mesmerizing little jewel. “After Five” carves a languid, oversexed groove—the perfect soundtrack for a rainy evening at home or in the morning sessions at the club. On the flip, “The Parkhurst” brings that old familiar no-bullshit aesthetic back into the picture with a pensive minor key melody fused with alien orchestral accompaniment. The clooser, “Multiply” reaches into techno’s past to communicate with us in the here and now—giving each new element room to grow and sing.
Vakula – Unthank 2 [UNTHANK002]

The second Unthank release by Vakula delivering some nice deep tracks on the Firecracker sub label. A strong contrast to the debut Unthank EP from Bakey Ustl, this 3 tracker contains influences as diverse as Aphex Twin, Claro Intellecto or even DBX.

Jazzy playfull laidback tracks from Marcellus Pittmann on this new label. Limited edition collectors release according the label.
Orlando B. – Future Resist EP [YORE004LTD]

Second release from Orlando B. on Yore Records. The UK producer laid down the new release’s material in West London, but its heart and soul lies an ocean away, as the ”Motor City” track title suggests; He also got a soft spot for classic house and techno, as evidenced by the title he’s given to the thirty-minute EP.
Owiny Sigoma Band – Wires [BROWNSWOOD063]
About Group – You’re No Good [RUG397T]

About Group is a band comprised of members of Hot Chip, Spring Heel Jack and This Heat. “You’re No Good” is taken from the album ‘Start And Complete’. The Theo Parrish translation showcases a super deep reworking of pure quality from the master.
VA – Uncanny Valley 004 [UNCANNY004]

The Uncanny Valley-quartet is rounded up by the Ace of Spades. Before starting to release its first Artist-EPs, the compilation-series is rounded up for now with the roughest EP so far. Sneaker’s “You Think You Think!” takes no prisoners and comes with a dark bass line. The track is a musclebound monster and includes claps that are out of control and freaked out vocals by Sneaker himself. No less rough is cvbox’ “machinematch”, even if its acid-thunderstorm builds up far more subtly. Finally, “Platschern” by Stefan Lohse takes us on a 100-BPM-journey straight into analogue wonderland…
