Its been zehn years, ninety-two 12”; EPs, twenty albums, fourteen DJ mixes, seven Unterton releases, two compilations, one 7 single and one cassette. Within this time, Ostgut Ton has grown as a label not only in terms of catalogue numbers and musical variety, but also in terms of experience, professionality and as a musical haven for Berghains and Panorama Bars residents.

Norman Nodge – Berghain 06 [OSTGUTCD23]
Berghain resident Norman Nodge presents the sixth installment in the club’s mix series. Since 2005 Norman has played the Berghain floor once a month and has become an integral part of the Berghain crew. He knows how to create a journey and so it’s not surprising that his Mix for Ostgut Ton is also built from many different elements. Classic Tracks like Jeff Mills? “Keeping Of The Kept” feature alongside the work of younger producers like Patrick Gräser. His “From Foreign Territories” is one of three exclusive unreleased tracks on this mix. Nodge also remembers that established artists like Keith Tenniswood as Radioactive Man are still producing powerful music today and includes a few recent tracks from such well established names. Showing that his palette of taste goes far beyond what you might expect to be the typical Berghain sound, much lighter tracks like Legowelt’s remix of the incredible “Rainy Day Juno Jam” by Xosar are also included. With probably the most varied tracklisting for a Berghain Mix CD yet, Norman Nodge is convincing us with his courage to try new combinations.
Norman Nodge Interview
Cheap & Deep – Rides Again [MC001]
This inaugural release on Modular Cowboy features brand new material from Cheap & Deep (a.k.a. Jay Ahern) alongside two remixes of “Words, Breaths and Pauses,” a track originally released as a limited edition 12” via Berlin’s Hard Wax shop. The remixes come courtesy of Norman Nodge as well as duo Jonsson/Alter. The release also marks Cheap and Deep’s return to the scene, with the new track “Beautiful,” a modern take on the Chicago acid house tradition, featuring vocals by Crissy Liu with additional production by Morgan Packard.
Trus’me – Remixes [PN012]
Prime Numbers returns with a series of remixes of Trus’me favourites, including treatments from a host of current cherished producers. The 12 features the MDR records duo Marcel Dettmann & Norman Nodge. Dettmann takes a diversion from his more familiar techno blueprint, working ”Sweetmother” into a tight house groove. Intensifying all parts of the original he creates an insistent and deeply pressured production. On the flip ”Good God” gets dubbed & smudged into a beguiling ghostly haze. Nodge completely reworks the mix stripping back & filtering the elements to fantastic effect.
VA – Kontra Music Mixes [KMCD003]
A very special compilation of 11 tracks of selected Kontra-Musik remixes. Featuring artists like Scuba, Shed, Marcel Dettmann, Substance, Move D and Silent Servant to name but a few.
