Spain’s A Harmless Deed label announce the release of its first artist album. DJ and producer DJ F, who up to now has also produced a sleek brand of airy dub techno and house on labels like Frigio and Semantica, drawing on everything from lo-fi Detroit techno to vintage electro.
Duplex / Tuff Sherm – Population Density / Drain Spectre (After Virgo) [MID003]
The A side got fixed by the legendary chaps of Duplex. They’ve been coming along since the first waves of house and techno and gave proof of this with their contribution ‘Population Density’. On the flip we find Tuff Sherm’s 10 min excursion holding beastly percussion and melomanic fatness.

Paul du Lac & Cassy remixes of two Laura Jones trax. Great versatile EP with nice different vibes that go well together. Well balanced release with 4 solid tracks.

Modularz Label owner Developer presents his first LP „In Pure Form“. This is a real wealth of work that developer has been creating over the last year. Its a fairly large catalog of tracks focusing on raw rhythms, strong tools and powerful funk fueled techno. This is a massive selection of functional tracks direct from the Developer factory of techno.

Woo York – I Am Against [SOMA409]
Ukrainian duo Woo York are set to release their new record that proves to be somewhat representative of recent dramatic events in their country. Entitled I Am Against, both the main track and the EP itself are referring to the developments that lead to revolutionary struggle of the Ukrainian people. Fighting inequality, saying what you have to say and doing what you have to do seem to be the core ideas of the record. You might have figured that out yourself by spotting a rebel protester from Januarys clash with riot police depicted on the record sleeve. The EP also features a special remix from UK Techno producer, [Phase].
VA – Colony 001 [CLNY001]
A rolling and bubbling analogue house and techno release from the newly-minted Vienna-based Wild Open Space imprint. Featuring Phil Madeiski, Felix T and Max Mulder channeling the spirit of Chicago and Detroit with a European production edge.
Jitterbug – Workers EP [UZURI020]
Uzuri 020 comes from Jitterbug. Apparently the title is a nod in support of the global proletariat, but it could equally refer to the floor-worthy nature of the tracks themselves. Truly an EP; you get six tracks of out and out bangers – from straight drum tracks to smoother Summer jams and disco-licked house – each track bringing a fresh flavour.
Gavin Guthrie aka TX Connect – Gavin Guthrie aka TX Connect [CREME68-69]
Next up on Creme Organization is Gavin Guthrie Aka TX Connect with a searing double album of analogue tracks aimed at the dancefloor. Up first is ‘Soundtrack 909’, a deep and melodically rich house affair that sooths your soul before ‘00707’ gets rough, jagged and angst with its off time cowbells, brooding hi hats and ever more frantic acid. ‘Palm Sunday’ then explores more cosmic beat territory in playful, colourful style and ‘Metroplex Jaxx’ is a rugged, dystopian and foreboding acid jam with plenty of occult melody work buried deep within. ‘Aqua Finess’ is a wholly malfunctioning acid machine very much doing its own weird thing and on the last side of this double vinyl pack, ‘Desmond’s Obsession’ plays with whacked out electro aesthetics and ‘Haddonfield, IL’ leaves you on a dour and downbeat note thanks to its crawling synths and lumpy hooks. Overall, this is an expansive and expressive double pack from TX Connect that has more than been the wait.

Following London producer Richard Smith’s (L/F/D/M, Bronze Teeth) debut 12 for Optimo. A 4 track EP of killer acid grooves.

Very dark and menacing and heavily-pounding industrial techno/electro planet rock by Ekman on Panzerkreuz.
I Vy / Solid State – Vol. I [CL001]
First release for I.vy on her own label Chinese laundry. The delicate task is entrusted to the producer, which presents herself for the first time ever with a release of her own, not surprisingly titled “Vol I”. A careful work, a well illustrated journey, where the four cardinal points are 4 originals marked by a bass line sound that seems to come from a TB 303 just dusted off by a deposit of Mr. Ikutaro Kakehashi .

Sir Joe – Max’ Garage [LOD003]
Sir. Joe born in 1987 in America Latina, as teenager he moved with his family to London, during his studies (thanks to his crazy schoolmates) he felt in love with the illegal rave party and with the new school of electronic UK’s music. A quick step that turned him into a music producer. Sir. Joe shaped his sound mixing european and american styles. Old school chicanos’ groove and samples were restyled in the direction of the English and Dutch style. LOD is glad to present Sir. Joe’s debut… again five tracks of pure energy and soul mixed with few drops of acid.
VA – In The Dark Again 01 [DARK001]
Dark and trippy sounds on a label straight from Berlin. In The Dark Again brings out music between Acid, New Wave/ Minimal Wave and psychedelic Techno and Dub. The first release comes with tracks by Dirtybox Jams, KSTS and Emil Seidel.
