Robert Hood delivers 2 devastating remix cuts of the great Deep Blue Meanies track from Juju & Jordash’s recent album.

Regis and James Ruskin team up for a highly effective new O/V/R excursion. The title track is a lean and uncompromising pounder, layered with tension building synthlines and a relentless attitude. ‘Descending the Left Corner’ is a little trickier, set with a deadly bassline swing akin to the Kalon tracks meshed with simmering Basic Channel style synth modualtions. Finally, ‘Crippled Nurse (and Water)’ indulges their more esoteric inclinations with a screwed downbeat acid number nodding to classic A.I.-era ‘tronica.

Urban Renewal, the sophomore vinyl release from independent West Michigan label 6ONE6 features 3 blistering tracks from Myles Sergé and a floor filling remix from Fachwerk label owner/artist Mike Dehnert.

The Restoration crew strikes back with “AMBER” E.P., a celebration of the necessary power to feed the machines and to keep them working. Live recorded on tape, it’s pure raw analogue sound, it’s true dedication to urban dance music. Tracks from Third Side, Lucretio and Marieu.

Number 13 on Time To Express presents three tracks. ‘Hope In Honesterror’ delivers 11 minutes of epic techno. Broad strokes of panned bass rub shoulders with driving percussion, slowly morphing into a tight groove. ‘Northeast’ is intensely claustrophobic, a white noise adrenalin rush pushed forward by a relentless kick drum pattern. Glacial soundscapes struggle in the background to free themselves from all-encompassing compression. ‘Extract’ is build on a minimal set of sonic ingredients, warped and filtered to maximum extend. The result is an inventive, raw and funky roller.

Counterpart are Dimi Angèlis and Jeroen Search. They are two dutch masters of world techno scene. In this new release they have three tracks plus an intro. The tracks travelling through beautiful and dirty sounds at the same time minimal (meaning the true minimalist school of Detroit) without a breath to the dancefloor. In the whole release you can enjoy the analog sound.

Zooloft’s ‘Looking Through a Mindscape’ EP is a decidedly dark new cut from Giorgio Gigli and Obtane. A little more digital than Basic Channel or Echospace, the rhythms and soundscapes are much more poly-textured, metallic and foreboding; making for a dramatic listening experience whether at home or in the club.

New release on Kirk Degiorgio’s label, from The Third Man. The EP includes an original track and a remix from Vince Watson.

Snapshot records are back with a remix pack for Roberto Bosco’s Hong Kong. Claudio Mate’s remix keeps it deep and emotional unfolding his raw groove style, flipping the 12 over label head Elliott Dodge moves straight to the floor with a rolling sparkle of enjoyment, layering sounds that hook and lock you in for the ride. Rennie Foster’s mix has to be one of his best tech-house remixes of his career, mixing his signature sound and taking Bosco’s original to a whole new level.

NSNT stands for New School N1994 Techno and comes from Kyle Hall and his buddy Manuel Gonzalez. Cool fresh sounding tracks that builds on the tradition of Detroit techno, with a Wild Oats twist.

New release of Savas Pascalisdis’ label Sweatshop. Joel Alter is back strong with more of straight pumping chicago-inspired tracks that continues Alters forays into the rougher, tougher side of house music. Simple and effective tracks.

Shake has created three killer tracks for FIT Sound that may be called anything but failed. ‘Trackin’ is a bangin’ disco influenced house track that will smoke the dance floor. Title track, ‘Drummer Downstairs’ is a beat track in typical Shake style that mutates into something completely different and unlike anything we have heard before; while ‘Frayed’ shows another side of Shake, it is equal parts deep, melodic and dubby – an absolutely stunning track.

Integrity Constraint Part 1 is the first in a series of aDepth audio releases by Arne Weinberg. The EP’s opening track ‘The Circle’ combines deep house vibes with Arne’s beloved signature sound – evolving synth textures and unusual rhythms – with lots of soul and feeling. The EP’s second original track ‘Desdemonia’ slows the tempo a little, while a lead analogue bass finds it’s way among soothing strings and broken techno drums. Kirk Degiorgio’s remix of ‘Paralyzed Tribes’ has a driving bassline and a heavily effected vocal from Mr Degiorgio himself.
