Everybody needs vacations….even Dracula.

Second album in a series of previously unreleased material from the Signum Recordings archive. Maarten van der Vleuten recordings dates are from 1991 – 1998.

There are many ways to move forward as an artist. You can reinvent yourself, keep track of fashions, or try bold new things. Tom Trago has spent the best part of 10 years pushing his sound in impressive new directions. Yet on his new album, the well-regarded Amsterdam-based producer has done things slightly differently. This time round, his influences come from much closer to home, and he has admitted to being inspired by the dancefloor-focused style with which he made his name. The Light Fantastic is a dancefloor orientated club album with a range of influences like – deep house, vintage synthesizers, classic boogie, disco, Chicago jack, acid house, and even a dash of full-throttle rave revivalism.

Garrett David and Adam Rowe first met 4 years ago working together in the run-down offices of Dust Traxx. Since then they have graduated to roommates and co-workers at Chicago’s Gramaphone Records. With their debut release, the Boys deliver a unique and endearing house sound with a bit of quirk and machine-made flavor. An EP for the selectors, each track demands it’s own place within the night. B Free features their dear friend and vocalist, Shaun J Wright (ex. Hercules & Love Affair).

Houston born, LA based producer, singer, and songwriter Seven Davis Jr. brings his unique blend of smooth vocals, rough beats, and funky attitude to Jay Simon’s Must Have Records for his debut solo EP. Featuring the instant summer anthem ”One”, Seven Davis Jr. gives you 5 cuts of modern, lo-fi, soulful dance music for the fellas, the ladies, the Jeeps and the clubs.

Optimo Trax is an offshoot label of Optimo Music for tracks aimed at DJs/dancefloors. These four tracks sound as great today as when they were made, over 20 years ago by Dutch techno veteran Maarten Van Der Vleuten, who should be a far more well-known name than he is, as he’s responsible for oodles of marvellous 12” singles.

Out of the dark depths of the underground emerges, once again, the purveyors of proper electro with a fresh new record to settle the score. Marguerita-Recordings delivers with a 10 track various artist compilation record, Telex Magick, which features artists from Europe to USA to Asia and back…the true essence of the underground is back. Gosub, Rude 66, Boris Divider, Manasyt, Cosmic Force …

Valuable set of sought after tracks for those who know.. From the early days, before techno was techno.. Programming (original 12-inch version), Joy One Mile (original 7-inch TP version), Techno World (previously unreleased on vinyl), This Is My Beat (original 12-inch version). Discogs insanity so to speak…

High up in an isolated valley in the Himalayas a group of Anglican nuns reside in a former ‘House of Women’. The Palace of Mopu, near Darjling, is the setting for emotional tensions, sexual repression and psychological drama. A themed 6 track limited edition vinyl only mini LP from a clandestine and sometime Rephlex UK producer/artist.

Two great Der Zyklus tracks finally available on vinyl again after being out of print for a long time. Heinrich Mueller (Dopplereffekt, Arpanet, Drexciya) in top form.

The fourth CCCP teams up Vereker with Florian Kupfer. Be fast, as this one will not last for long.

First release from the new parisian label Unlearn: Chris Mitchell (Vanguard Sound / Plan B Recordings) was given total freedom for this EP. He delivers 3 massive tunes between house and techno while XDB takes care of remix duties.

Copies found of this repress of 1986 Chicago 12 – delightful stringwork on top of a bassline and choise drumprogramming, it can be so simple.

Great follow up of Dolly Dubs 01! Once again Staffan Lindberg is delivering. His nice & smooth ‘The Orbit’ is a great & optimistic club track that will have the sun shine on any floor, with the mighty Trevino remix adding a slightly rough edge to the original version. But don’t let the easy-going fool you! The b-side dives in deeper territories with ‘Y2K’ that reminds a bit of early Kevin Saunderson works, and ‘Feel like dancing’, which is a proper sexy house burner for the morning hours. Wonderful & diverse release.

Berlin label Bright Sounds debuts with 12inch release from Brighton-based DJ & producer Myles Serge, a self-described Reclusive Perfectionist, whose haunting production sound reflects influences from early Detroit & Chicago electronic music. The Inside The Box EP collects three stripped down & floor-ready techno cuts: Building Blocks continues the Detroit tradition of doing a lot with a little, piecing together a groove of subtle intensity by small increment

The R-Zone series continues down its avant-garde path with a next EP from another established producer but one who’s name will not be revealed, as is the way with this series. The jacking electronics of ‘Rebecca In The Hall’ goes first with a whipping bassline, plenty of jarring machine sounds and nebulous sci-fi synths. The tension is broken with the sensuous cry of a female vocal and from there you are elevated to a higher level of good-time vibes. ‘Romijn Ravine’ then takes us back to the old school – bristling drum breaks, hardcore stabs and crushed hits all mesh around one another to form a dusty, grainy intergalactic sonic trip. Closing out the trio of tracks is ‘Night Level II’ which is another fully analogue jam where wiry synths and jacked-up kick drums hustle and bustle with a kinetic energy that sucks you in and drags you along for the ride. It’s another fierce EP with a dense make-up, but one that has many hidden pleasures within.

Mon series returns with a new EP of detroitescque techno by Eduardo De La Calle. Raw, dubby and spaced out 4 tracker.

This is the sound of Belgian 80’s nightclubs re-energized for the current scene. From dancefloor to darkroom, it is all there… Dark, dirty, raw and sweaty. For bodies to move on and minds to loose, in the strobelights and beyond…

Three brand new sonic experiments from the Dataphysix lab! Detroit enigma Dopplereffekt has been resurrected, emerging from a grave of jagged detritus and technotrash for their first release since 2007. Dopplereffekt has always preferred mystery and myth, and the Tetrahymena EP on Leisure System is a scorching assertion of their capacity for hallucinogenic abrasion. Tetrahymena wanders through decommissioned factories and an omnipresent chemical haze, evasive and contemplative like the last man alive in a crumbling steel city. Whether in the ethereal voices and plunging bass of title track ”Tetrahymena,” the unidentified flying objects droning maliciously in the thunderous weapon ”Gene Silencing,” or the retch and hiss of arpeggiated bad trip ”Zygote,” it’s a transportive journey of dread as only Dopplereffekt can create. Leisure System is proud to release the Tetrahymena EP, an essential vision of dance floor dystopia from one of the most consistently compelling artists in electronic music.

The mastermind behind Plan B Recordings donates a laid back number for chilling, a deep beater, a late night track for the heads, & a classic full of dark sounds and effects.
