Container is a recent moniker of Nashville, Tennessee resident Ren Schofield. The sounds on this release are a thick stew congealing new ideas and naive experiments, abstract and minimal in nature with time stopping tendencies. This music, by being so unruly and defiant of any kind of trend, has created a fresh and wierd fusion.

Spectrum Spools present the debut album by Brooklyn’s minimal synth trio Forma. This is a self-styled tribute – and testament – to the enduring power of kosmische. Sumptuously melodic, with flights of improvisational fancy nicely anchored by taut, repetitive drum structures, it’s hard not to fall in love with this record. What really distinguishes Forma from the million devotees of German electronic music is their bold and often unorthodox use of rhythm, at times tending towards metronomic Kraftwerkian synth-pop, at others towards something even more viscous and otherworldly. kraut-influenced analogue electronics.

The Opiates is the latest project from the “queen of electronic soul” Billie Ray Martin, together with Norwegian musician Robert Solheim. New Firecracker 10″. Gavin Sutherland aka Fudge Fingas is the man behind the seventh installment in the cult series, with A-Side cut “What Works” showing a move towards moody, shuffling Detroit house. Remix duties are handed to Vakula and he turns in a memorable, highly atmospheric remix of “What Works”, before another Fudge original, the chiming sea of calm that is “Mass X”, rounds off an essential release.

Max_M with an original on his own M_Rec LTD, a journey with a very deep sound, something that comes from his background, a walk through Detroit, Birmingham and Berlin. A rhythm that is not heavy, repetitive riff that nullifies any inhibitions. It’s definitely evil, it’s a reminder of the deep and pure techno. Remixes by Shifted and Ascion.

New release from Matt O’Brien on his own Off-key Industries. ‘Bloom’ lays it smooth and stealthy, riding fat, subs-driven rhythm daubed with fluttering Teutonic synth into a subtly show-stealing breakdown and back to business. On the flip side, ‘Without Warning’ has body-slydin’, mentasm style synth licks and droning pads.

Words coming from Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt:
“Ok people here it is the new Legowelt album which is free to download for u all Its got a hella lot deep tape saturated forest-techno tracks on it and when I say Techno i dont mean that boooooooooooring contemporary shit they call techno nowadays with overrated tallentless pretentious douchebag cunt DJs playing a few halfassed dumb mongo beats and being all arty fartsy about it.
F*ck that, I am talking about: Raw as fuck autistic Star Trek 1987- Misty Forests- X-FILES,- DETROIT unicorn futurism made on cheap ass digital & analog crap synthesizers recorded in a ragtag bedroom studio on a TEAC VHX cassettedeck in DOLBY C with an unintelligible yet soulfull vivacity.
if you like it you can donate some $ or Euros, Any donation small or large is appreciated u can paypal to: wolfers@xs4all.nl so I can buy more crap synthesizers to make stuff like this and repair my Roland Juno 106 which stopped working during the recording of this album…probably cause this shit is tooo deep and it just couldn’t handle it…. doesnt matter, the bottom line question is CAN U HANDLE IT???”

New arrival from the [Naked Lunch] camp indelibly stamped with the production Boddika up against a Skudge refix of some vintage Instra:mental heat. “Grand Prix” arises with a cavernous subby bounce, the track is soon invaded by onrushing hi’s and kicks before swerving into a downward spiral of bass and rave stabs. A former [Naked Lunch] glory in “Vicodin” is revisited by Skudge, transforming the frosted atmospherics of Instra:mental’s original into a constantly brooding 4am wall rattler.
