The third release by Vakula on Shevchenko. Intense dub pressure on the A-side with an epic Bergheim-style percussive techno track on the flip that weighs in at over 13 mins. Pure, analogue, undulating house music.

Vakula weighs in once again with the raw, untouchable and emotional warehouse music. Detroit and Chicago serve as only reference points, Ukraine acts as the surreal catalyst.

Dutch millipede Nick Lapien offers a view of one of his intriguing projects, this time as Metropolis. This alter-ego, inspired by the 1927’ cultfilm, gives his idea of how the city would look like if it was created out of musical waves. Neo-electronic, mechanical, raw and as dark as a film noir.

“Time 4 Harmony In This World EP” from Jamal Moss opens with the title track that is a 15 minute ride of percussive elements, atmospheric synths and melodies. “Resonant” on the flip is a exquisite piece of experimentation & “A Day Trip Thru Divination” rounds off the EP with a slow tempo’d basement track.

The vibes of this years Freerotation Festival inspired SoulPhiction to record these two tracks during the rehearsal for his live set. Both sides are unedited and Freerotation II is the instrumental remix of an upcoming album track featuring Suzana Rozkosny on vocals.

Catapult Records presents the debut solo release from the Organ Grinder, with two classy modern garage hits that have a back in the day vintage feel. Axel Boman is making a strong run with new releases this year! Together with his own Studio Barnhus release this is the second summer 2011 release. Fresh house music from Sweden, comes with remixes by Applebim and Al Tourettes.

Marcos Cabral, half of Runaway, takes an unexpectedly nice departure from his previous works with three refreshingly varied original tracks. The A-side title track 24 Hour Flight develops as a late night, muted chord-driven filtered techno mixer which nicely compliments the A.2 track Cassandra with swelling bass and mellow dub-techno influences . Filling the entire b-side at almost 13 minutes is the analog house jam Freckles, complete with bright synth washes, 707 drums, and maybe even a breathing vocal buried in there somewhere as the jam goes on and on.

A.r.t.less presents the debut album by Detroit Techno veteran Martin Bonds aka Reel By Real. After 2010’s retrospective of his most seminal work, these are the first new tracks under his Reel By Real moniker since almost two decades. This album takes you on a great multifaceted journey through one of America’s definitive music capitals and the birthplace of Techno narrated by one of its very own musicians and a true ambassador of its soundtrack.

New release from Efdemin on Curle, including two tracks ‘Farnsworth House’ and ‘Blount’. The last one is a collaboration between Efdemin and his good friend and fellow Dial artist Kassian Troyer.

The first release on Black Catalogue is coming from owner Monty Luke. The “Tomorrow EP” contains three tracks and gives an eclectic glimpse into what just what Black Catalogue is all about. The A-side, “Tomorrow,” is a sub-bass driven snapshot one of Detroit’s possible futures. “The Next” is simply a message. And the double-A side, “Yesterday & Today” is a Detroit dancefloor record that takes a filtered disco hook into a future direction.

C-Beams’ debut artist EP on Uncanny Valley. For “Strollin’” they lend the vocal talents by Tina Slotta and the result is an irresistible House-jam. Easy vibrant beats are complemented by birds’ twittering, warm keys and Tina’s carefree lyrics. Jackmate’s remix toughen things up and transfers the tracks with mighty Detroit- chords into a real monster for the dancefloor. The slightly murkier “Scrapyard” takes its strength out of the interaction between its vehement beats and the C-Beams- typical sound excursions.

Sebastian Genz aka Moomin drops a teaser for his forthcoming album on Smallville Records. “Sweet Sweet” introduces the tenderness of Moomin’s deep diving sound and is supported by a Oskar Offermann remix.

Massimiliano Pagliara’s debut album “Focus For Infinity” gets some action. Phillip Lauer (Arto Mwambe) and Gerd Janson (Running Back) team up as Tuff City Kids, offering two takes on “A Wrong Chance”. Sweet layer cake of bass, synths, strings and for those who are faint at heart, an additional riddim version provides hidden acid fantasies. On the other side, Oliver Hafenbauer and Christian Beisswenger (Arto Mwambe) keep on exploring their sharp electro funk under their B.H.V.F moniker.

The second part form Simoncinos’s “The Warrior Dance”. On the A side, 2 brand new tracks : one cover of Marshall Jefferson as Jungle Wonz “Time marches on” & “Inga”s crème”, while on the B side, there are 2 remixes from Chez Damier.

Mark du Mosch takes you on his unique journey that glides perfectly between contrasting emotions. Sombre notes brush with warm melodies over four bubbling tracks that are as at home on the 4am shift as they are on the stereo.
