The Intergalactic FM Streaming Festival of 2020

“As you know the physical festival has been cancelled for the weekend of May 21st. But since we’re one of the web’s oldest streaming organizations we came up with an alternative and asked everybody who was supposed to come (and more) to record a special performance for this alternative festival.
A new low in social distancing!
The response has been insane and we expect at least 75+ hours of special content from electronic rockers from all over the galaxy!”
The line-up is truly a dream come true and you can keep track of it via this site: https://www.intergalactic.fm/ifmfestvisitors2020/

European Festivals in 2020

2020 is definitely not a good year for artists, clubs, festivals or arts in general. Because of the lock-down generated by the Covid-19 pandemic clubs are closed and festivals are canceled every week. Sadly, two of the most interesting electronic music festivals had last year their last edition, Nachtdigital near Leipnitz and Strange Sounds From Beyond in Amsterdam. But, here are the electronic music festivals that we recommend this year in Europe. Hopefully the lock-down will not close this summer and some of these festivals will go on.

Intergalactic FM Top 100 of 2019

Of course it’s not Christmas without the IFM Top 100 and this year is happening on the 26th!

“A full 100 this year! And by popular demand it’s going to be a full classix one.
Only tracks 25 years and older will be selected this year. Not that there weren’t any rockers made lately but it’s something that has to be done every once in a while…”

Lift off is tomorrow, December 26th as of 1600 CIT!

Yellow Beach Balls – Space Cat [MSDN1207]

Submitted to the IntergalacticFM Demo Contest in 2010, Space Cat, was a hit for all that tuned in and a personal favourite of I-F who jammed it plenty on his Bottomless Pit show. A vinyl release looked promising but never came to fruition for unknown reasons. Several rumors swirled and cryptic messages posted to the internet before Yellow Beach Balls all but disappeared. Almost 7 years to the date of the demo contest and we still don’t know the story behind Yellow Beach Balls, but we do get the release of the Space Cat EP including 3 lo-fi synth-pop tracks to join the aforementioned title-track.
