Cosmin TRG is back with his 2nd release in the Direct Current Series on Rush Hour. This time he loses the steppy beats and turns out two fierce house tracks, yet he keeps his signature cut up r&b samples and the future attitude.

‘Black Keith’ definitely has that drive and swing and groove we love so much. ‘Close To Me’ is a little deeper and more classy (Detroit), yet still grooves like a motherlicker.

Rush Hour presents a new series of releases entitled ‘Voyage Direct’. This series is about all about feel good club music and is curated by Tom Trago. Hence the name Voyage Direct, which was also the title of his debut double EP. Dexter kicks off this series in a classy style with his Junofest EP.

A remix for a remix…Falty Dl and Cosmin TRG go at each others tracks and the results are firing!

Rush Hour proudly presents an official series of Trax reissues. This third release in the series mostly touches on the magic of Jamie Principle. However, this EP opens with a sublime deep vocal track originally released on Trax sub-label Saber in 1991 by Ace & The Sandman (who are also responsible for the Virgo Four tracks).

The Rush Hour DC series continues with Cosmin TRG, the Romanian known for his releases on Hotflush and Tempa a.o. ‘See Other People’ is an infectious garage stepper, announcing the future of r&b. ‘Groove Control’ continues on a techno tip. It starts off deep and mysterious, evolving in a pulsating, acidic bassline driven killer.

Rick Wilhite has put together this great comp of unreleased music for Rush Hour featuring the cream of U.S. house producers – here’s Part 1. Rick Wilhite and his Vibes new&rare music record store have been a main source in Detroit for over 17 years.

After his recent releases on his own A.R.T. label, Kirk has shown us that he is back in effect. This double a-sided 12” confirms just that! Two solid techno tracks that both are steaming dance floor tracks, yet they both have a sophisticated, almost elegant touch.

The voyage continues. With this Out Takes release Tom Trago delivers two new dance floor tracks that were created during his Voyage Direct project.

Final Daniel Wang release on Rush Hour, incl. 6 tracks not on the recent compilation. The Balihu Bootleg EP is the final release in the Best Of Balihu series on Rush Hour. This 6 track EP holds two unreleased tracks (!) and four early works and b-sides.

Rush Hour kicks of its Direct Current series with NYC based Falty DL. This series is about today’s electronic music in all shapes by new and upcoming producers. Falty DL is known for his releases on Planet Mu and Ramp. His sounds shifts somewhere between hip hop, funk, dubstep, house and techno. Its this cross breeding that gives Falty DL his signature sound. With ‘All In The Place’ he delivers one of his best releases to date. Four tracks that sound classic, yet futuristic at the same time.

We welcome Chicago house veteran Gene Hunt to HHYR. With this great 4 track EP Gene shows us he still has the touch. This EP includes three deep, yet raw tracks somewhere between jacking Chicago and classic Detroit. It reminds us of tracks by Boo Williams, Glenn Underground etc. Special mention goes out to ‘I Know You Care’, which is a lush disco track.

We’re going back to the roots again! Chicago producer Ricardo Miranda kicks it raw with this acid burner. This steady club track already caught the ears of Rick Wilhite, who will include Ricardo Miranda in his upcoming Vibes Compilation album. On the b-side we have Chicago head Legowelt doing a remix, which is a tribute to the late 80s Chicago era. Deep and moody. Essential house stuff!

Dark Adaption is Rondenion’s second EP for Rush Hour and we are pleased to have him back! The freestyle disco cut-up ‘Sun Glare’ nicely sets the mood here and is a must have for Detroit house lovers. “Blue Canal” shows a deeper side of Rondenion; a bluesy, mid tempo groove that sticks. The title track gives way to, well, Rondenion’s darker side.. A hypnotic and mean cut that really builds, reminds us Theo Parrish’s rawer tracks.

Tevo Howard is the new unsung hero of Chicago house music! After his debut 12” for Hour House Is Your Rush “Move”, Tevo now delivers a six track double pack. All six tracks are warm, emotional, raw, hypnotic, long and deep tracks and take us back to the original vibe of Chicago house music. Though his tracks are heavily inspired on the early days, his productions sound very crisp and ‘today’.
