Emotion II Emotion is Portland duo Avalon Kalin (Finesse) and Rafael Fauria (Miracles Club) that blend Garage & Deep House live with gritty samples, FM synthesis, analog hardware, swing and passion. Looking back to the golden age of House Music and pushing it forward as a live art form. Inspired by the best of the 90’s club sounds, they deliver here their first EP full of house killers.

The 7th release on Skylax Records’ sub label Wax Classics with 4 fantastic trax done by Adryiano. He’s a “music lover and vinyl enthusiast” from Cologne Germany rooted somewhere in between the 90s house sub-genres. Pretty much into vintage gear when it comes to productions using 90s hardware like the MPC 2000xl. This Ep is clearly made for the ‘new jerseyish’ deep house heads. Old scool vibe with some serious banging kicks and an incredible groove.

A Fistful Of Wax is an extension for some very special projects of deep house Skylax Records’ sub – label Wax Classic. For this first release features 5 fantastic trax done by some of the best Deep House producers at the moment: Girogio Luceri, Jamie Trench, Jackmaster K, Marcoradi and Rio Padice. These tracks are all firmly rooted into the deep house sound. They never settle into one comfortable, predictable groove. Its heady, emotion-rich grooves include warm, melodic two-step and future garage flavas, dubwise slo-mo grooves. It’s eclectic, no doubt, but thanks to those guys warm production and heavy deep vocals, this release will put your hands up in the air marvellously.

Skylax Records brings, for this new release serie, a very hot project : one of the most influential & mysterious producer from now : Jason Grove teamed up with Hardrock Striker, delivering 4 heavyweight Hardrock Striker classics revamped by deep house master Jason Grove.

Warehouse Classics Vol.1 holds 4 killer tracks going from obscure disco to new wave, first popularized at the Music Box and rarely heard anywhere else. Sir Leon Greg (another incarnation of Perseus Traxx) jams out then reinforces some edits of forgotten classics with a raw & personal analogue treatment for a devastating full effect on the dance floor, that is a far cry from the proliferation of over-produced squeaky-clean software edits. These are basic, raw ideas thrown down quickly and capturing the energy on 1/4” tape before moving on to the next set of sounds. Musically, it’s as delightfully funky and uncomplicated as you’d expect, a mesh of disco tracks and heavy, effect laden, machine-funk.

For the 31st release Skylax Records presents brings the brand new single from the inimmitable Hardrock Striker, the brain behind Skylax. After a hiatus of almost one year ‘Cosmic Club” backed up with 3 remixes from respectively Jason Grove, Carlos Nilmmns & Simoncino.

The second release from the Skylax sublabel Stay Underground, It Pays is coming from Violence FM. Rhythm playing and drum-machines programmings, editing, mix and mastering, his compositions are often inspired by tribal spirits, organic deep bass and melodies, oscillating beetween smoothie and energy, or both. Deep & Drum could be summing up his mind working, but no matter because the energy and emotion are primarily convened for a result that combines demanding sensuality and wildness. The release comes with a John Heckle remix.

The second Houseville of Skylax EP features 5 amazing cuts from respectively John Heckle (with 2 cuts !), Master Muzikbox aka Mzkbx, Luv Jam and Rezkar.

The 4th release on Skylax’ Wax Classic series, featuring 5 trax done by Nick Beringer. Entitled “The first floor EP”, it starts with “Show me” which is one of those eminently soulful house tracks with a sparse approach to production, all the elements sounding so crisp and distinct in the mix but judged perfectly.

For this first release Stay Underground, It Pays brings Late Night Music aka Simoncino. Heavily influenced by Proto – House andl the legendary music that came from the chi-town first in the early 80’s. The release includes also a remix by Lerosa.

Skylax is back with ‘Warrior Dance IV’, featuring some Chicago proto – house jackin’ heaven tracks. The A side has three the Chicago tracks from the hand of Simoncino called “It’s hot”, “Movida” & “Ore nove nove”. On the B side, there’s three great remixes.
