Isaac Johan – Isaac Johan [COMEME014]

Comeme has resurfaced sporting a new artistic look and brandishing the same devilish approach to causing dancefloor chaos. The label’s latest EP comes from Isaac Johan, described in fanciful fashion as the “first genuine ghost” to join the pan continental Comeme fold. Believe what you want but lead track “Everytime I See Your Face” does sound like there’s a spirit careening around the inner workings of some Roland drum gear. Despite his apparent spectral state, the following triplet of tracks finds Isaac Johan to be a perfect addition to the Comeme fold.
Bookworms – Love Triangles [LIES009.5]

Very much unclassifiable house not/ techno/ not disco debut coming from recent NYC transplant, Bookworms. Blown out sample chops, synched up drum machines with those Barney’s claps and outboard synths play throughout making these two jams more than interesting excursions into an intimate place that we just can’t place our finger on still.
Chris Mitchell – Phrenetic EP [VS002]

Chris Mitchell is up next on Vanguard Sound with a solo piece called Phrenetic EP. A four track 12″ that shows off Chris’ versatility as each track has a different style and feel. Some new music from the American south that is making waves as Chris is creating his own sound.
Mantra – After Dark [BUNKER3096]

From North Yorkshire, England, more classic ’88 UK dark acid house from Mantra, a full-length lp on white vinyl.
Innerspace Halflife – Cosmology EP [MDREAMS008]

Big sounding chicago acid tracks produced by Hakim Murphy and Ike Release. Ranging from in your face acid to deeper tracks.
Lunar Disko DJs – Slabs 163
VA – Donato Dozzy & Hieroglyphic Being Reworks [REDOSE001]

Ra.H & Dynamo Dreesen get reworked by Donato Dozzy, Madteo & Sensational by Hieroglyphic Being.
Jordan Fields – Boxbeater [HHYR018]

Two eighties recordings which were taken from reel and have been remastered and made available for your pleasure. ‘Boxbeater’ especially is a track that was inspired by the slam dancers who used to go wild on the rhythm tracks Ron Hardy used to play at the Music Box. ‘Warm’ is a deeper, yet fierce, house cut, which was inspired on early ‘Rhythim Is Rhythim material.
Specter – Mix for Chicago Radio Vocalo 89.5
Marcus Mixx / Fit – Salute The Noize With A Laugh / Kali [FIT005]

Next up on Fit Sound is A split 12″ that combines the way out sounds of Chicago from veteran producer Marcus Mixx and the modern raw Detroit sound from label owner Fit, aka Aaron “FIT” Siegel.
Ike Release – Subsequent EP [EPISODES001]

New Chicago label with some lovely tracks going somewhere between traditional Chicago house, Detroit techno and finer club tracks. 3 tracks of foggy, saturated house hinting only slightly to the past while remaining firmly in the present. Comes with a stripped to the bone remix by Hakim Murphy.
Marcello Napoletano pres. Ra Thout / The Brigante’s Orchestra – Born Free In The Land Of Nobody [MATH058]

Hot stuff Macello Napoletano dons his new guise as Ra Thout & The Brigante’s Orchestra but keeps loyal to his firm and releases on Mathematics. Anyway, Ra Thout is a totally different animal, frantic and aggressive, littered with raw electronics and tape saturation. “Catastophic Event” is an apt title for a rabid track that drags a multitude of squeals and sine tone abuse through rough drum box percussion and a fast, unrelenting tempo. “Man From Messapia” rides on a similar tempo but gets a bit funky, with filtered hooks and flanging pads. Deep, tech-funk with what sounds to me like a crazy vocoder line going absolutely off-it through the track. “The Man Who Can Do Anything” is a low-slung chugger with quite organic percussion and a subby bass. Breaking delicately through the mix is a wonderful lead flute line which contrasts well against the sludgy groove. “Terra Tra Due Mari” is totally nuts, mangling a free-jazz workout against jagged guitars and ridiculous amounts of bass. Hard to pin down, and quite unlike anything else but imagine some of Madlib’s Yesterdays New Quintet work being tweaked by Jamal Moss then mixed and mastered into some aggressive psychedelic B-side and you’re halfway there.
Late Night Music – Free Your Mind #1 [SUIT001]

For this first release Stay Underground, It Pays brings Late Night Music aka Simoncino. Heavily influenced by Proto – House andl the legendary music that came from the chi-town first in the early 80’s. The release includes also a remix by Lerosa.
Meschi – Light Wave Theory EP [LXRC07]

Meschi has been putting out a series of records that take in a large and varied breadth of house music ranging from deep to jack, with the ‘Light Wave Theory’ as his best work to date.
VA – RDY #8 (Ron Hardy Edits) [RDY008]

Amazing 3 Ron Hardy edits straight from the basement… A1 brings ‘I Need you’ from Sylvester, more than 7 minutes of pure maddness. On A2 we get the brillant & timeless ron hardy mix of Robert Owens cult track ‘your mind’. On the B an obscure track called ‘Hardy goes acid’.
Tevo Howard – Monument EP [065BUZZ]

Tevo Howard’s second Buzzin’ Fly release after his successful debut The Age of Compassion last year. Three tracks that make up the Monument EP are a near perfect example of Howard’s various strengths as a producer, though “Conditional Love” is an undoubted highlight. The track bumps along with a gloriously quirky quality, its warm analogue groove embellished by an array of delightful percussive and rhythmic touches.
Marcello Napoletano – Spring In Cry EP [HM005]

HotMix Records presents a new EP by Marcello Napoletano, featuring five deep and warm house tracks.
I.F.M. – Interstellar Freeform Movement [FOTTUTE001]

The first release of Fottute Registrazioni is based on freedom, especially after release of a member of I.F.M. Fran Mela. After being locked up for some law bullshit, Fran came out with an anger and strength, so as to be transmitted to another I.F.M. member, Marcello Napoletano, this blend of anger and strength derived from it this ep mini-album. In this record you can feel the anger and the power , the resistance, the freeform lifestyle and the analog machines.
The Sun God – Being Hieroglyphic [RHYTM002]

For this release we had the honoured privilege to dig thru the vast musical archive of Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being, and pick our favourite tracks for an exclusive vinyl release. With these tracks of hypnotising sci-fi funk The Sun God is re-inventing technosoul once again.
