Petar Dundov is back with a new 2-tracker on Music Man. Deep melodic techno, from the past to the future and back again onto today’s dance floors.

“Spring Toy” is an elegant A-side crafted with classic house influences in mind. Meandering casually before beginning its ascent into deepspace territory, Detroit styled synth lines and intricate melodies hang above a funky undertone which hooks from the off. Continuing its cosmic trajectory, the EP’s B-sides set their coordinates into dub techno regions. “Lindberg”s quirky astral synths and futuristic soundscape trigger a dream-like state…think sci-fi beams and interplanetary navigation and you’re half way there. “Shudder” is a more up-tempo sonic excursion, propelled by its galloping techno rhythms. The ebb and flow of trippy pads and crystalline waves play to the senses.

Atmospheric House/Techni from Transilvanian Galaxi. “You Have Always Been The Caretaker” on the A-side is over 9 minutes of subterrainian atmospheres and mournful strings, one for the instrospective moments in the early hours. On the flip “Sequence 2” and “God DR-55” head even futher away from the dancefloor (though in the right heads they’d sound fantasic, especially on a big system) and towards the contemplative and esoteric.

Baalsaal Records presents a new release by Romanian Aeromaschine aka Alin Crihan. The package includes three originals and a remix by Martin Landsky.

The deepest techno act from Amsterdam with their deepest works so far. In three haunting and hypnotic analog techno jams Spaventi & G-string show us the beauty of darkness. Not sure which spirit possesed them that night but it was a nasty one! With their sparse 909 percussion and eerie synths they deliver techno how it once was intended: funky yet moody, seductive yet alienating… The Bio Rhythm continues.

Welcoming four new artists on Field, the eighth EP in the vinyl series hovers somewhere between melancholic breaks, authentic deep house, and riveting techno. Upstanding contributions are realized by Dutch connoisseurs Steffi, Mark du Mosch, Artefakt and Area Forty_One.

Zooloft presents the second step-forward to the golden age of Tech-Noir. Zooloft 00J is a collection of remixed tracks taken from our hidden archive. Claro Intelecto, Svreca and Brando Lupi make this release unique, bringing their own personal touch to rare and obscure recordings.

First new album from the Echospace duo since the critically acclaimed ‘Liumin’ double album on Manchester’s beloved Modern Love imprint. The sonic structure of this album was the basis for what later became ”Liumin” released on Modern Love but this exploration is something all together different, left untreated and unprocessed from its original 1/2” tape to preserve the natural organic state of the recording. The LP is a soundtrack to Silent World, an independent film produced by Rod Modell that will come out on DVD sometime after the album.

In a time where music classification and compartmentalising of genres loses all meaning, Jon Convex aka Damon Kirkham has been at the forefront advocating a new wave of electronic music. His new solo album ‘Idoru’ (A Japanese word derived from the English ‘idol’) is his multi-dimensional sound projected into a new species of electronic music production. The themes on Idoru are evident from the start. Influenced from a young age, growing up in a video rental store during the 80’s and vinyl hunting in the 90’s, these distinguished eras are stamped all over Idoru. The album is further fused with his previous production mastery pirouetting gracefully over his mutated Techno House repertoire. From the Autonomic inspired ‘Fade’ to the brooding tones of ‘About Her’ who’s late night vibes and pitched vocals pay homage to Drexciyan project ‘Other peoples place’.

Tin Man presents an ambitious but club ready album of 303 centric dance tracks. 8 cuts that ably followup his breakout single ”Nonneo” from 2011 which launched the popular ”Acid Test” series on Absurd Recordings.

Solid tech tracks by Reno Wurzbacher, Mike Dehnert and Roman Lindau on tyhe second Colombage release, the more house-oriented sub division of Fachwerk records.

Third release on BRSTL following 12”s from October & Borai and Outboxx. Two tracks of deeper, club ready techno from Bristolian newcomer Rhythmic Theory

The Eshu people return on their own imprint with the ‘Timeless ep’, a trippy and funky techno release for the after hours. The A-side gives us MM, a 10 minute long funk experience full of summery vibes. A slowbuilding beat gently moves on while beautiful chords start to grow and evolve out of nothing. The ‘Echologist Dub’ by Brendon Moeller takes the original and adds some thought out drum patterns, lush chord stabs and tight percussion. ‘Timeless’ is all about getting in the right mood. All it takes is a steady beat, some sharp hats and a couple of hypnotic layered tones and chords to do the work, this is one is for the afterhours.

Dutch minimalists Dimi Angèlis & Jeroen Search return for their second stripped down and abstract sonic affair on BALANS Records.

New release by Professor In.c on Boe Recordings, featuring four deep warm house tracks, from dubby dusty techno to more atmospheric house.

Number Eleven on Uncanny Valley focuses on the soundscapes of CVBox. Releasing his first solo record, he’s finally able to express his very specific idea of sound somewhere in between meditative Ambient and compelling Techno on the ‘Analog Amputations EP’. ‘Past the Eclipse’ is shaped by echoing choirs at first and mutates then into a serious Detroit Funk killer for self forgotten Techno dancefloors. ‘Counterflow’ starts to roll with menacing drones but quickly surprises with its optimistic atmosphere and an irresistibly catchy synth flute. The flipside starts off forcefully with the oldschool Techno stomper ‘Droid Swift 836’. After that ‘Orience’ floats in a sea of pads without losing the Funk of the CVBoxes.

Second in a series of releases based on capturing the energy and culture of UK pirate radio but going way beyond that as the project unwinds. From the first highly coverted 12″, “Lolita” makes a return here, but in a ‘Warehouse Dub’ form, while new track, “Deflowered” is tweaked here by the in-demand Kassem Mosse and joined by Mix.
