Juju & Jordash – Slack Trax Vol.1 [SLACKTRAX01]
Juju & Jordash have announced a new label called Slack Trax, an outlet that focuses solely on material focusing firmly on the dance floor. The first release, from the pair themselves, is entitled Slack Trax Vol. 1 and includes three no nonsense dance-floor oriented techno slayers.
Umwelt – Abandon In Place [NF20]
To celebrate New Flesh Records 20th release to date, French veteran DJ Umwelt returns to his own label with a new LP. Built like the soundtrack of a dystopian movie where main characters evolve in a hopeless future, Sci-Fi ‘Abandon In Place’ delivers no less than height cinematic masterpieces half-way between electro and ambient registers. From the menacing sirens of opener ‘Void Of Nothingness’ to the melancholic synths of closing ‘Galactic Wreck’, passing through the Blade Runnerish vision of ‘Celestial Matter’, this soulful album depicts nothing but the extinction of mankind in a ending world. Besides its terrific message, ‘Abandon In Place’ showcases the unlimited talent and incredible versatility of Umwelt, a mighty producer able to split from the most cutting edge music on New Flesh Records to a more radical, straight to the dancefloor approach on Rave Or Die. A gloomy journey through apocalyptic tones, slow yet deep basslines, industrial touches, cold and un- compromising emotions. Umwelt’s most forward thinking opus to date sum up in once sentence: “By the end of the day, all is dust”.
Phase Fatale/Silent Servant – Confess [BITE01]
Phase Fatale (Hayden Payne) and Silent Servant (Juan Mendez) started their collaboration in 2016 performing together live at several Jealous God showcases across Europe, such as Berlin Atonal, and then working together on Payne’s Redeemer Extended Mix 12′ from his album on Hospital Productions last year. The Confess EP on BITE is a studio documentation of those aforementioned live performances and harnesses the cathartic energy of the stage into a physical medium.
Posthuman – The Damocles Syndicate [SHIP056]
Two miscreants of UK electronics have been drafted in by Shipwrec for a 12″ of techno debauchery. Richard Bevan and Joshu Doherty, aka Posthuman, have been addicted to acid from their first contact with the caustic and cruel chords of the TB303. Since then the two cousins have gone on to curate 10 years of I Love Acid as well as doling out some toxic classics of their own. The duo deliver the soured goods once again, starting the audio anarchy with the ominously titled “Netflix and Kill”. Drum patterns are gnarled and nasty in this slow burning jacker where basslines boil over into a thick syrup of late night revelry. The flip is taken over by the bullying sounds of “The Damocles Syndicate.” The track rumbles with venomous menace. Coils of 303 spite bulge and contract under the strict resolve of a stern beat in this ready made floor filler.

Core family member and Crisis founder Imre Kiss returns to the Lobster fray with a deep, riveting and emotive EP for sub-label Mörk. Infused with the emotional energy of his previous outings whilst plunging into a wormhole of London-centric sonic references, Strangers is Imre at his most potent and signals a striking return for the Budapest producer.

Hypnotic techno tracks by Nima Khak including Cari Lekebusch remix. Nima is an integral and important part of Swedens Techno Scene. His sensitive feeling for intense and powerful soundcapes and grooves made him to one of todays cornerstones of Stockholms and worldwide Techno nights. Cari Lekebusch delivered an outstanding and hard knocking remix with his own handwriting.

Fever AM is coming up with a 4 track EP by Rhyw (also one half of Cassegrain). He presents a different side of himself while reinforcing his approach to techno. This EP is directed at the dance floor while still maintaining his signature sound design and raw sound combining broken beats and subtle melodies.
Mitchell Goor – Hope & Anchor [PNKMN023]
For the 23rd release on Pinkman, Rotterdam based Mitchell Goor delivers a 4 tracker of slow, raw and warped Techno. The contrast between unpolished percussive instruments and ethereal melodies reoccurs throughout the release and gets polished and refined by haunting vocal samples and pungent acid bass lines. This gives the record an ability to take audiences on rollercoaster rides through tension and anger as well as hope and promise, powered by permanent, adrenaline stimulating, raw energy.
Myn – The Violent Poetry [PBD12]
Straight out of underground Paris and right onto Pinkman’s Broken Dreams arrives Myn. The Public Systems label boss follows up a debut track on his own label with a poem about gloom, desolation and anger written in native machine language for the Rotterdam imprint. The A stanza describes a ‘Mental Outburst’ with punchy lines written in raw percussion and disconcerting 303 work. Following a line break the B stanza changes the meter from 4/4 to pummelling broken beat in a piece about power and dominance titled ‘Black Rose’. The Violent Poetry concludes with yet more deathly rhythms and spine chilling verses in ‘Core Collapse’.
