EarToGround presents their first label release. Out of London comes the Programm EP with original sounds written and produced by Dax J & Chris Stanford. With their strong influences of traditional techno they have brought it’s rawest stripped back elements to life. A mechanism of deep synthesizer stabs, a hard but sweet kick drum and complementary hi-percussion & shakers setting a solid platform for this new born label. On the flip side, EarToGround welcomes remixes Shifted and Truss.

Avian moves forward to its second release. This time from label co-owner Ventress, his debut release sets the tone of future productions with 4 tracks of forward thinking, hypnotic techno.

Elastic Dreams presents the debut release from A Sagittariun, with some deep and warm electronics and two remixes from MD2 aka Mike Dehnert.

One the first Mini LP on Tabernacle Records, the mysterious sounds of Lost Trax and The Connection Machine combine to yield a collection of hypnotic tracks. Touching on inner hopes and fears, their mark is felt long after the music has ended.

The first release on Icon Of Desire, a multidimensional journey through emptiness, frustration, compassion, relief, elevation. Tracks from Annie Hall, passEnger, Louis Haiman and Furthr.

‘Emergent Behaviour’ is what one might determine the calm before the storm, as we dive into the second instalment of ‘The Jupiter Cycle’, as the drifting ambience and somewhat ominous synths proceed ‘Abstract Thought’, itself a stubborn barrage of hardened electro beats, rigid stabs, crystalizing and melding into an explosive mayhem and of course, ‘The Ghost in the Machine’, if anything a more traditional styled, yet irresistible electro hit. ‘The Deep’ showcases Hadamard in a distinctly experimental mode, where all the fine details are tuned to perfection for maximum atmosphere. Finally, drifting into ‘The Collective’ and ‘Satellite Swarm’, both gliding onwards and ever deeper into pure ambience, the latter closing piece eloquently preparing the audio stratosphere for the next chapter in The Jupiter Cycle…

The first phase in the breath-taking new musical project from Hadamard. As we enter Hadamard’s universe of ‘The Jupiter Cycle’, we hear a synthesis of straight-up electro coalesce with spellbinding ambient and experimental futurism, to create an overall Bladerunner-esque environment.

The new Nucleosynthesis Ep from the finnish Duo Morphology shows the classic future sound of electro. A1 and A2 are two dark, atmospheric tracks with lots of analogue power. The tracks on B-side combines spacy and melodic sequences with the fine drum-programming.

From the Signals imprint in the North of England comes two suitably rough and tough cuts of British house/techno from Liverpool wunderkind John Heckle. This is how techno and house should be made! Machine driven; raw, moody with heart and soul.

After the successful Zenker Brothers record, we continue with a solo record by Dario Zenker. It sounds like Dario bought some healthy food, went to McDonalds and ate it there to provoke some marketing campaign against intensive livestock farming. We know for a fact that he has an unlimited love for good food, dirty old school hip hop, porn, broken beats and kung fu by the way. His flat on the 5th floor gets a lot of Light during the summer and also heats up a lot. Can you smell the sweat? Speaking of sweat, you should check out Inner Circle’s „Sweat“. Instead of a proper high 5, we would even Give 6 for this one! Oh what a bad way of trying to make some sense with the track title…but honestly „Give 6“ is a hard one.

Skudge announces their new series Skudge Present, featuring their favorite artists. First out is Stephen Brown with two beautiful tracks. ‘Mini Mood’ is a one-of-a-kind type of track, where both inspiration from the past and the developments of the present gets equal space, resulting in something close to perfection. ‘Horizontal’ goes into a immense state, where melody is key, giving way for a floating yet pulsating groove. If the washed out term organic should have a place today, it would be here.

Mathew Jonson makes his debut on Crosstown Rebels, with the Dayz EP. ‘Dayz’ is a very melodic house-meets-techno affair. Driven by punchy kicks, the track fuses silky synthesizers to vivid keys, with the overall result being a strong Detroit-ish track. ‘Cold Blooded’ is a more static, electro-based house track with twisted melodies, nasty bass stabs and super heavy vintage synth waves in the middle part.

Inigo Kennedy returns to two dirtier and energetic tracks on Token. ‘Revenge’ can rip up any dance floor peak time, while ‘Scatter’ explores IDM territory, almost in AFX fashion. The b-side holds an interpretation of ‘Revenge’ by the infamous Blawan, a fierce techno work-out.

In the month of Tresor’s 20th anniversary celebrations, Pacou unleashes a mean four-tracker of his signature, diverse Techno styles. A-side features the classically-learned pummel of ‘Connection’, all flying 909 hi-hats and lethal bass, besides the delayed gratification of ‘Transmitter’ a filigree shuffler with elliptical syncopation primed for craftier DJs. Flipside holds the tweaking acid Techno finesse of ‘Response’, and the warm dubby swing of ‘Default’, which was made over ten years ago.

Paul Rose make his return to the rarely used SCB alias. “Mace” is befitting of its title, all claustrophobic 4/4 filled with jittering percussive touches and menacing acid. The sweeping pads provide the requisite rhythmic undulations on this functional basement bumper. The more substantial rhythms of “Overlay” impress; hollow kicks and rusted stabs laying down the core thrust, whilst Rose moulds layers of growling white noise.

A solo return EP from Sandwell District mainstay Silent Servant. The EP includes two tracks, that sticks to Juan’s trademark sheering sound-scapes and clattering lo-fi drums.

Third part of Semantica’s fifth anniversary series. 4 moody techno cuts that are just as good out loud in the club, as at home over your headphones.
