Lushly finished, almost pastoral Techno grooves from the unknown quantity, Cajun Hardt. One side is more moody, the other sweetly melancholy, but both with super crisp, twirling synthline and unusual, Latinized drum programming.

Next up in the 10” series on MOS_deep another heavy 2-tracker of D’Marc Cantu, which will be followed by a (mini)-album later this year. The opening track is a fierce Chicago-styled banger kicking off with an extremely solid and frantic bassline while D’Marc’s low-pitched voice asks us “How Are We Doing?”. “A Second Earth” is a laid-back and emotional retro-futuristic techno track overflowing with sadness and melancholy, echoing the sounds of the artificial-intelligence era.

With shades of the joyous melodic soundscapes, ‘ACDise #2’ holds you in a hypnotic malestrom, as the lush, warped strings climb higher and higher, surrounding you with their beauty and intensity, pushing you ever closer to the eye of the storm, before it shatters into the brilliant light of a thousand crystalline pieces. The EP comes with a stripped down acid-cussive version from Swedish Techno machines Skudge and another storming remix from Gatto Fritto and a beautiful ambient track ‘Turn to Light’.

Prime dub techno from JS Zeiter. There’s no denying his affections for Basic Channel here, reverently prostrating himself at their altar with the pulsing kicks and wafting dub chords on the A-side. However, with the simple addition of shuffled snares on the flip, the formula results in a towering techno colossus, subtly modulated from start to finish for proper heavy effect.
